The Spurs average 27.9 assists per game, for the second most assists in the NBA... San Antonio averaged 13.6 fast break points and recorded 1,116 total in 2021-22. This is the most for any Spurs team in a single season since 2012-13. (13.7 FBPS; 1,126 total... Dejounte Murray is the first Spur player to lead the NBA in steals per game since Kawhi Leonard (2.31) did it in 2014-15. He is the first Spur to lead the league in total steals since Alvin Robertson (260 total; 3.21 SPG) in 1986-87, and the first since Alvin Robertson (1986-87) to lead the league in both categories in the same season.

Pelicans guard CJ McCollum finished the regular season tied for 20th in the NBA in three-pointers made per game (3.0). Additionally, McCollum is the only player in the NBA to average 22-plus points and five-plus assists this season while averaging less than 2.1 turnovers during the regular season... Over the course of the regular season, the Pelicans outrebounded teams on both the offensive and
defensive glass. New Orleans is the only team in the NBA to rank top-5 in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage. The Pelicans finished the regular season ranked 3rd in defensive rebounding percentage (74.2%) and rank 4th in offensive rebound percentage (30.6%).

Spurs showed why they just barely backed into the play-in, due exclusively to the failure of LeTeammates.

Pretty easily the least interesting/promising looking team of the tournament tbh.

Nah bro, he's not even a Spurs fan anymore.

I don't give a **** about the Spurs anymore and haven't in a while. Pop is annoying, losing his ability as a coach, and has needed to retire for a while now. I wouldn't call myself a fairweather fan - the team doesn't need to be good for me to watch and root for them - but I'm not going to bother with teams outright trying to suck and who go to lengths to rid themselves of their best and most unselfish players. Getting rid of White and perma-benching Thad Young (as if vets can't help young players win) were just the most recent blunders in a long list that prevent me from giving a shit about them anymore. They are never again going to have the identity that I appreciated. It lived a few years past the Big 3 era but has since died a brutal death. :lol

I love the game in general and watch any team worthy of attention, and root for the ones that play the whole game, play smart and play hard.

That's not the case anymore. Still wish good things for them, but I don't really watch them like I used to. The m8 would have better insights.

Not a particular fan of Keldon and Lonnie which is an unusual take, and am over with Pop. Lose every single one of my favorite players and that's one big turnoff.

Yeah Lonnie has gotta go, that experiment is over, wayyy too inconsistent.

Keldon would be better coming off the bench.

Start JRich imo

I have hope in Vassell.

Honestly wouldn't mind Monk, at the right price.

Spurs without Duncan/Kawhi/Parker/Manu is just a glorified feeder team imo.

Pop is a college coach at heart, run the system, develop player habits etc.

What small market isn't?

The only way a small market can break out is if they get lucky in the draft. Amass enough talent and maybe, maybe, you'll get a few veteran free agents interested in a possible ring to sign up. The timeline for that is fragile though, see OKC in the 2010s.

Otherwise, you're SOL.
