And all 3 times he made the playoffs they were 1st round exits. Haven't been to the playoffs since 2016.

only thing I blame jordan for is his coaching selection. they have a ton of talent so Jordan's been pretty good at selecting players

the Hawks were just a better team cause the hornets had no direction all year. that's on the coach

In almost 20 years, his best selection was Ball? How about Kwame Brown, Morrison, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or him turning down 4 1st round picks in order to draft Frank Kaminsky?

I meant lately. this current team has talent everywhere

just taking a chance on lamelo has made up for everything tbh. he's a generational talent/name and was debated with luka and Ja on first take by legler, Jay Williams and Stephen a Smith as a possible face of the nba going forward

his passing and dribbling are elite. his shot is good. hes good at floaters. he can rebound. he can draw fouls. he's athletic. he's tall. he's confident. he's flashy. he's popular. he gets a hand in everything on defense. all he lacks is on ball defense and muscle

after he grows into his nba body he will be a literal perfect player

For all I know he could develop into a superstar.

But a generational talent? That is pushing it. You heard guys on ESPN talk about it because that's all they do, discuss pointless topics to get through the day.

a generational talent is someone that's elite and is a house hold name that gets the green light to do whatever he wants and is sort of unique. lamelo is all of these things already and he's like 20. all he's missing is his coach trusting him. when he's on fire he totally takes over games already. team durant probly wins that allstar game if they kept going to ball. but they had to feed embiid cause hes the mvp candidate. and before the hornets coach kept punishing him for every little mistake he was putting up near luka numbers

so it's only a matter of time

Usually the better player he is, the dumber he is. Its the dumb jock effect I guess.

Jerry west didn't want to draft magic johnson.

Larry bird traded kawhi for George hill

Isiah Thomas was also horrible gm

You're acting as if that draft had a no-brainer to take at #1. The 2001 draft was weak. Nothing beats trading for Westbrook. I hope that LeGM gets involved with a team after he retires so we can laugh at all his roster moves.

As a player he's the goat, as a sportsman he's the GOAT (marketing, impact, legacy still hugely relevant 20+ years after retirement, etc.). Couldn't care less about what he does as owner, coach, NASCAR, boating, pro fishing, motorcyling, or any other hobby he wants to have post playing career. That's his money he can do whatever he wants with it.
