MLK was only half right. The two biggest obstacles to overcome in the black man's fight for equality are the horde of racist/fascist white supremacists who wish subjugate minorities forever and the horde of liberals who aren't as racist as the other horde (but who are still pretty racist) and who really aren't 100% committed towards helping minorities.

Both hordes are bad, but the first horde is worse because they are more insidious and discriminatory.

The ideas of socialism are very sound in a vacuum. Science works on paper, math works on paper, political theory... does not. Human behavior, psychology, is not something we understand. Not to mention, I'd go as far as to say a lot of the great geniuses were very naive.

There were mad scientists that were bout that life, but think of Einstein and the atom bomb. I'm sure he didn't want that. Not in the way it turned out. They just get used. I dunno if people really understand that socialism is just exploiting people to the max and dividing up the gains equally ahaha. And I think the people who are putting in that level of work, the Einstein level great people, are prepared to bear that burden, but it goes deeper than that.

It's hard to have over-arching thought when you are deeply immersed in an academic field. Hence, I think, the reason why academia is obsessed with socialism. School itself is not socialist, it's in fact elitist and competitive. But the people who get in those highest spots tend to have utopian ideas.

Let's face is, capitalism is savage. However, nature is also savage. Nature works. One thing that is 100% true is capitalism will always WORK, even if it ends up starving off portions of the population. That's why it makes the most sense to run a capitalistic society and then have safety nets, not just hand outs, but opportunities. You might get max exploited just the same, but at least you get to keep most of your gains.

Socialism should exist for the v v v poor. What they seem to be trying to do is raise the socialism 'bar,' but that's trapping people in. No human being should be without food, and it would be damn nice if they could have shelter, too, but some don't want shelter. Still, they need to be able to do their thing on some level. Things aren't so bad, really. Could be better, but on the scale we're talking about, the most minor change (like a decimal point) could throw everything off balance.

If you're on a computer online and you think that you want to be under the socialism bar, that your life will improve, you are wiggin' out. That's just A PERSONAL OPINION, but do da knowledge to that. It sucks that people are mega rich, but they are gonna be mega rich regardless.
