But was his team really any worse than Giannis’s Bucks?

Both had Holiday as a 2nd option
Davis had : Tony Allen, DeMarcus Cousins, Jordan Crawford, Rondo, Josh Smith , Jrue Holiday in the 17/18 season. That’s on par with The Bucks current roster

Iam more impressed by how AD dragged Pelicans to the playoffs this season. He wasn't even there.

Anthony Davis isn't as good as Giannis. No shit.

He's on the Gasol\Mchale tier, not Shaq\Giannis

OP always has garbage takes lol. Tony allen played 22 games w/ 12 mpg at age 36 and was not apart of the Playoff roster. Cousins played half a season before his achilles injury.

It was a decent team, but they obviously weren't going to beat the '18 Warriors. The '21 Bucks would have lost in 4-5 games to that GS squad if they could barely beat an injured Nets' team with a post-achilles KD, who could get 35 a game on them without a reliable 2nd scoring option.

AD did what he was supposed to do. He carried the Pels to the POs and swept the 1st round round series. Averaged 27/15 against GS and that was good enough to win 1 home game and lose in 5. He took a game from the Warriors that year, unlike Bran, who got swept and humiliated in the Finals.

Well, he certainly dragged the Lakers to a championship in 2020.
