Maybe his leadership will end up working out better than it did with Simmons.

Let alone 2022 Harden
Sure thing, buddy...keep telling yourself this
See you when you're in tears, again
Maybe Embiid won't send them home with missed free throws, this time

It's more Karl Malone right now but things can change within just 1 playoff run. 2nd best big man in the league behind Giannis

I was listening to an interview with Ron Artest recently and he was talking about this. He was saying that part of leadership is getting on guys. He was asked about how guys took it, whether some responded well or reacted negatively and he said " I don't care". :oldlol:

Rim protectors get dunked on.
Its also surprising that this day and age they didn't look at the review for a flagrant. Collins clear had unnecessary contact to Joel's head.

To be honest, he's kind of giving me Anthony Davis vibes.

Nah son.
The entire league respected Jordan AND feared him.
We all like Embiid, he’s a nice funny chubby-Ish dude.
But Nobody really truly gives him the highest level of respect and nobody fears him in any of the same way they feared Jordan.
@OP I’m a fan of Embiid, and appreciated that this was the first season he seemed to take himself more seriously, and that’s why I want to see him get the MVP trophy this year, to reward him for finally caring.
But your boy ain’t never gonna be like mike in the ways you’re wanting him to be.
Even if he wanted to change up at this point, it’s too late to be taken 1,000% seriously by many current and potential teammates. Niccas know who he is by now. A really big, super talented, lazy, funny dude, who ain’t “that guy” even if his numbers resemble “that guy”

He's gotta do it in the playoffs. And LOL at the MJ comparisons. As BarberSchool said, everyone respected and feared MJ. No one fears Embiid. He's a teddy bear.

Bad. It means he's playing like a beast, but it'll be a miracle if he makes it through the post season uninjured.

Joel Embiid is not a leader.
He was one of the four best players in the world this year but he sure as shit does not exude leadership whatsoever. Maybe he's on his way to that but he sure as shit isn't there yet. Class clowns aren't leaders, lol.
And this quote feels forced. He's not a psychopath like Jordan, which is a good thing.
People really saw that propaganda piece documentary and have tried to implement quotes from it into their personality and or think they have the full context of a guy's entire career because of a few hours on film with commentary. Just a joke. LBJ did the same thing with the whole "I don't want to cheat the fans and that's why I play 82 games" bullshit even though he's been resting games his entire career.
Fake. Fake. Fake.
Just be you and shut the **** up.

Fred Van Vleet on Joel Embiid,
"He was more back to the basket (in 2019), playing like a 5. Now he's turned into Kevin Durant, Michael Jordan, Kobe, Shaq all put together."

Ok? That's a stupid quote. Unless his career trajectory skyrockets starting with next season, you would take all of those guys over him in a hindsight draft. Maybe Kobe I guess.
Players' opinions and quotes don't mean anything.
That's a desperate and transparent appeal to authority. If the hierarchy of basketball brains off the court correlated with basketball ability on the court, MJ would have multiple championships as an owner... instead he doesn't even have playoff appearances. LeBron wouldn't be complete ass at assembling a roster. Magic wouldn't be a clown when putting together a multi year plan around teams. The list goes on. Dirk wouldn't have Jokic out of his top 5 euros ever, lol.
