I expect the Cavs to do everything possible to get the ball out of Trae Young hands. If the other Hawks hit thier open looks Hawks will handle business.

The Hornets tried that at first to no avail. Obviously the Cavs are a completely different ball game defensively but that's kind of the beauty of the Hawks in that the shooters are so good and Trae is such a quick decision-maker when the double comes.

Other the magic and curry, no point guard in nba history has an argument for better offensive player then Rayford Young.

I would argue he's the most dynamic in nba history. Magic wasn't as good of a scorer and curry not as good of a passer.

Much prefer Bogi as a 6th man. You don't need him in the lineup with Rayford being a 1 man offense. That was a good adjustment. Also getting rid of Reddish helped as well. I wouldn't be surprised they upset miami if they make it.

Weird play, on that injury just now. Clint Capela pulled Evan Mobley towards him, then watched the ball in the air instead of watching Mobley, who he just yanked towards him, proceeding to fall into him. I guess Capela figured Mobley was going to fall straight down. Dunno.

True, but it was more of a stumble backward than a fall, he wasnt taken off his feet which would have been the much more dangerous situation. So I think thats why they went with the common foul.

Obviously it was close enough to go either way. But I think common foul was reasonable.

Actually the Hawks are not playing bad defense, outside of the giving up 46 in one quarter they were solid holding the Cavs to 101 points. They locked down Charlote too, the biggest issue moving forward is injuries. With Capela I would give Atlanta a great shot to beat Miami. Without Capela and John Collins there is not enough depth to hang with Miami.

That Capella injury is a real blow with Collins already out.

Luckily hyperextensions are usually not as serious as other injuries but ofc it’s very case by case.
