It's one game without Booker in the second half.
Time will tell if they do a 93-94 Sonics style choke job.

They faced clippers without kawhi
Nuggets without Murray

Plus they played an injured Giannis in the Finals and still got backdoor swept with an epic chokejob

That was Bron's GOAT accomplishment out East, how dare you.
Korver's Hawks were juggernauts.

It's one game and it means nothing, really hope Book is back at 100% by game 3 or 4. Nothing will be as pathetic as 15' Hawks like Turner said.

Why do people insist on throwing around the word "ever" so often? There have been nearly 70 60 win teams in league history, you expect us to believe you'd be knowledgeable on all of them :lol Including the ones from 40-50 years ago?
The 2015 Hawks are undoubtedly worse than these Suns, as are the likes of the '16 Spurs, '07 Mavs & '95 Spurs. Obviously if last night proves to not be an anomaly and the Suns lose this series, that'll a different discussion.
2016 spurs should have been in the wcf but they folded prematurely.

duh cp3 suns have yet to beat a team that wasn't decimated by injuries in a playoff series.

2016 spurs with prime Kawhi better than these suns. They were extremely competitive with those stacked thunder who went up 3-1 on a 73 win team. Dirks mavs were also a Finals team the year before 2007 just like the suns except they didn't have the injury luck in their gauntlet.
The 2011 Bulls deserve a mention. Rose basically tore the regular season up and then was ass in the playoffs

Kawhi clearly had not taken the leap offensively in 2016, he was putting up Scottie Pippen level scoring without the playmaking. I’d pretty easily take Booker/CP3/Ayton over 2016 Kawhi/Aldridge/Parker. Ditto Dirk/Howard/Terry. That’s not even getting into the clear advantage the Suns have over both depth wise.

Kawhi averaged more points on way better efficiency than Scottie Pippen best run. Kawhi was better than Devin Booker for sure, he was an elite defender as well. LMA and Ayton cancel out. Paul a choker no better than the combo of spurs vets. I don't think the suns beat the 2016 thunder or Warriors. They would have been a 1st round exit last year without ADs injury as he was smoking them. Overrated team.

No. They had the 2nd best record in the league last year and have been by far the best this year.
They also had some injury issues this year like most teams.
Crowder just can't hit a shot all of a sudden.

I would say some of the 90s 1 year wonder teams like 93 Phoenix suns, Supersonics 96 are some of the weakest 60 win teams ever.
This 2022 phoenix suns made the finals in 2021.

I'd easily take these Suns over the '15 Hawks and '18 Raptors just out of recent memory alone. Even as a Bucks fan, I admit Phoenix is currently better than the '19 and '20 (on-pace for 60-plus wins pre-lockdown) iterations of my team as well.
It's only been one loss where the hot-handed Booker—who the Suns were riding—didn't even play for most of the second half. If they continue laboring this series and flame out later in the playoffs, maybe this'll be worth revisiting. For now, this just reads like the hot take of the night.
The Suns played convincingly enough last postseason (even accounting for oppositional injuries) to consider them a legitimate title-contender, and they'd be the reigning champions as we speak if it weren't for one of the GOAT Finals debuts by Giannis. I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt until further notice.

I mean, lots of the greatest teams have lost 1 game in a series.
But to a 9th seed that shouldn't even have been in the playoffs? I don't want to make too much out of 1 game, but even without Booker the Suns should be destroying the Hawks. We'll see if that game was an anomaly or an omen.

The Suns are stacked lol. CP3 and Booker have no excuses. If they don't win the championship, it would be really embarrassing.
LeBron and KD would kill to have the supporting cast that CP3 has.
