They beat Giannis and Embiid but when they face LeBron the excuse is that they were too young. Y’all just like to hate on greatness. I know KD got way more help than Bron did back then. Shouldn’t be any excuses why him and Kyrie can’t get it done.

Lol.

Tatum and Brown are both much better than they were in their rookie/sophomore seasons man.. It's not even a debate. Even Marcus Smart has evolved as a player. This Celtics team is a lot more experienced with much better #1/#2 options. Tatum certainly didn't have as good of a 3PT shot, a handle or as good of a feel for the game as a playmaker. They also don't have Rozier now, who was a major weakness for them on defense.

So how did the same young ass Celtic team still beat Giannis and Embiid before losing to Lebron? The Bucks and Sixers both had better supporting casts than what LeBron’s Cavs had yet his team still won. You can’t argue any of that.

Go look at the Playoff on/off numbers and tell me Rozier was a good defensive player, please.

Maybe because we're talking about 2018, when Giannis and Embiid weren't playing on this level? The Bucks took the Celtics to 7 games, and that's with the Bucks not being a good defensive team, and Giannis being a low 20s scorer and not a DPOY level player just yet. 2018 was the first year that Embiid was healthy for the Playoffs. He had only played 31 games his first 3 years in the league, and he was nowhere near as good of a shooter or as smart as a playmaker at the time, and the Sixers had a worse team around him.

You have to be trolling here.. there's no way you don't understand these things if you've been following the NBA since at least 2010.

So they weren't considerably worse on D with Rozier on the court in the POs? Rozier is a good defensive player?

I thought most of the Bransexuals here were trolls, but you guys actually believe this stuff, don't you?

Tatum averaged 27 points in 2018? Brown averaged 23? They had Derrick White and Payton Prichard coming off the bench? Topic is silly. James has had a great career. 4 mvps and 4 rings or whatever. Your need to bs to try and boost him up even higher than the high levels he has risen to speaks to extreme insecurity. He's still a great player. You don't need to post garbage to improve his reputation and it will not work anyway.

So then why did they only win 51 games this year but 55 games in 2018?

And what about Horford who was in his prime in 2018?

Maybe because the EC is much better this year?

Well both Giannis and Embiid were all stars and they both had a much better supporting cast. Don’t make excuses. They lost to a better team.

I really liked that 2018 Celtics team. They had a super young team, very athletic, but young.

This was their averages vs the Cavs. Obviously Tatum did not play like a superstar, but the team was very balanced.

This 2022 Celtics team is marginally better.

And with all that being said the Celtics are still a 2 seed just like in 2018 and they’re one of the top teams defensively, just like 2018. They have one all star on their roster now like they did in 2018. They have the same core then as they do now.

Yeah but these C's don't have younger Horford or Rozier.

A team's seed has nothing to do with whether or not the players are the same that's not a point. Brown averaged 10 fewer points and Tatum scoring average is almost double. This topic is foolishness.

all you're arguing is lebron was better than them in 2018. It does not mean he's better than them this year(he's not). Even a lot of bron stans would concede that
