Let's wait and see what the American people think come midterms. The Republicans are more in line with the mainstream populace than the dems. Immigration, the stupid covid protocols, wanting schools to concentrate on education versus indoctrination, fighting crime instead of police, etc. Yes they are behind the 8ball on abortion, some trans rights and common sense air pollution issues which quite honestly most of the public says they only care about because of guilt but it won't move the needle in this election. Trump lost because he's a very polarizing figure, Republicans as a whole are going to lay the smack down this November.

The reason McCarthy flip flopped on removing Trump is because at the time he didnt know Trump had sent a memo to Pelosi before the (so-called) "insurrection" recommending that 25k national guard troops be deployed to protect the capital... not only did she ignore this recommendation, but she prevented capitol police from responding in a timely manner.

Once the Republicans win back the house and take control of the Jan 6th committee (aka the congressional witch hunt), they are gonna call on Pelosi to explain why she ignored this memo from Trump, and they will call on Adam Schiff to explain why he has never once acknowledged the existence of this memo during his witch hunt.
