A sweep is when a team loses every game in a series based on a predetermined number of games. It doesn't matter if it's 5 games, or 7. It could be a 9 game series and if one team gets to 5-0, it's over. By your definition it wouldn't be a sweep because it's '5-0' and not '4-0'.
