View Full Version : Why is it so hard to get out of the East?

Giannis did it once
Butler did it once
Kawhi did it once then the pressure became too much and he left to the West
Embiid never did it
Durant didn’t
Why can’t anyone do it multiple times? Let alone 8 straight times? :confusedshrug:

Dwight did it once.
Wade did it once (as the alpha).
A colluded Boston superteam managed to do it twice.
But yeah, 8 times is... yowza. It's barely even comprehensible. Sounds made up frankly.
Yet Lebron actually did it.

OP likes to talk about the same shit with 10 different accounts every day
we just did this yesterday. get a new agenda already
and I already answered this shit and destroyed all your other threads by comparing the competition level. in the 8 straight finals trips lebron beat 10 teams with 50+ wins. the Nets would have needed to beat 3 teams with 50+ wins just to make this year's finals. that's more than double the competition

Only the greatest player of all time can make 10 finals in the modern era.

Cause Jones is da man in the East (now a boss for the Suns)
No Jones No chip
No one will ever be able to do it in the modern era. I don't know how Lebron did it so many times, it's inhuman. Any other player on earth failed miserably.
And he did it with 2 teams, its insane. Everyone needs a super oiled team for years and years of build-up till they get somewhere and Lebron just changes and wins anywhere. Even in the West, didn't even take him 2 years and he won a chip. This man is incredible, no one will eveer come close.

An average year in the East prior to 2019...
They had 4 all stars just because East was very weak. Just check all nba teams:
2014-15
FIRST TEAM
East: 1
West: 4
F: LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
F: Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
C: Marc Gasol, Memphis Grizzlies
G: Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
G: James Harden, Houston Rockets
SECOND TEAM
East: 1
West: 4
F: LaMarcus Aldridge, Portland Trail Blazers
F: DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento Kings
C: Pau Gasol, Chicago Bulls
G: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder
G: Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers
THIRD TEAM
East: 1
West: 4
F: Blake Griffin, L.A. Clippers
F: Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
C: DeAndre Jordan, L.A. Clippers
G: Klay Thompson, Golden State Warriors
G: Kyrie Irving, Cleveland Cavaliers
So only 3 players were selected to All-Nba teams. Two of them were Lebron and his teammate Kyrie. It means, there was only 1 player except Lebron's team that was selected to all-Nba teams.
Lebron played multiple Finals just because he played in a weak Conference with super teams.
Also total all star games of those players:
Korver - 1 time
Teague - 1 time
Millsap - 4 times
Horford - 5 times

I'll give Kobe prime Shaq for 8 years and he won't make even 6 finals with that, let alone 8.
Oh wait :oldlol:
In another universe I would gift rookie LeBron prime Shaq for 8 years and it will be the most glorious 8 years of my life. 8 championships.
