Why would Lebron join any team at all?

He has zero competitive value at all, I would say he is a net negative player now. Make no mistake, his stats might not look as atrocious as Kobe's last season, but Bran is not a winning a player now. Lebron requires way too specific of a setup to be valuable and it's just not worth it with his current ability, lack of defense and weird personell decisions.

If Lebron is smart, he will go back to Heat, because Riley and the crew were the only one's who were able to protect him from himself. He could play a smaller role for a couple of years there and might be enough to push Heat into another finals.

Lebron is not smart though, so he'll probably continue to be a team cancer as he chases Kareem's scoring record.

LeBron is the GOAT and is still a great player. This season he was unlucky because the Lakers objectively had a subpar roster with subpar depth.

The Grizzlies on the other hand, are stacked with high-end role players.
