2007 Finals - 22 on 36%
2008 2nd Round - 26 on 35%
2010 2nd Round - 21 on 34% for last 3 games
2011 Finals - 18 ppg
2014 Finals - low team assist, woat chemistry, leadership & defense
2021 1st Round - trash - lost 2-1 lead
2022 Lottery - biggest underachevement ever (super-team makes 11 seed)
^^^^ That's 7 playoff debacles and black marks, so Durant & Lebron are the same caliber.
Lebron also lost as favorite in 2009 and had record loss with an 2-star team of Finals veterans in 2018.. plus 4 lottery years... So most of Lebron's career is Durant-like failure

They're not even the same caliber anymore. At least Durant gets his teams into the Playoffs and has more impact on the W/L record in the RS. This version of Bran wouldn't have done shit against that Celtics' defense either, and please don't @ me with games against Boston in November/December.

LeBron beat a 73 win team and elevated Kyrie to outplay the unanimous MVP
KD got swept in the first round with Kyrie by a 51 win team with zero championship experience, and diminished Kyrie to a 15 ppg scorer over the final 3 games of the series

Stats vs Celtics
08' Lebron..... 26 on 35%
10' Lebron..... 25 on 45% (21 on 34% for last 3 games)
22' Durant..... 26 on 39%
Prime Lebron played worse than current Durant against the 08' and 10' Celtics and therefore would get demolished by these Celtics.
He averaged 26 on 35% against the 08' Celtics and 21 on 34% for the last 3 games against the 10' Celtics

Sure he does. SEE: you making a thread about things that happened 10-15 years ago.
Durant's happened less than 48 hours ago.

Nope
I just listened to Broussard say that Durant wasn't a bus driver but Lebron was, so Lebron's collusions get credit while Durant's don't.
But the historical record shows that Lebron played worse against the Celtics and lost AS THE FAVORITE, so he's actually worse than Durant.. Lebron simply benefits from being a first-mover in the collusion space

He only plays well against the shitty rookie teams - he collapsed twice against veteran Celtic teams like what KD just faced (08', 10').. as the favorite no less... So Lebron < KD.. KD actually ragdolled these Celtics last year

You forgot 2018 which holds the record for biggest Finals defeat of all time by point differential. With the 2014 Finals in 2nd place. All time. Nobody gets their ass kicked like LeBron. :lol
The Nets got swept but the games were super close. LeBron got swept and the games were a tidal wave. Levels to this shit.
Overall, Lebron fanboys can't talk when he led an 11 seed with AD playing more games than Kyrie. LeBron had more help and couldn't even make the play in tournament. A LeBron fan talking Shi on Durant this year is just embarrassing. It just doesn't make any sense. Yall are punching up like Nate Robinson on Yao Ming out here.

18 not worth bringing up with that roster around bron. You have to pick one is Kyrie overrated as a sidekick or his he still elite as one. You have to concede something picking either one. Also this was a 1st round series. I personally think lebrons 2nd guy in 14/18 doesn’t compare to current Kyrie. I think Boston is really good but they’re not guarantee to win a title and could lose in the 2nd round

Prior collusions provided the 18' Cavs with a roster of 3-time Finals veterans and the only 2-star team in the East, which is a massive advantage against a bunch of 0-star, newbie opponents..
So after losing Kyrie in 18', the Cavs still had a great 2-star team and a bunch of Finals veterans, which should never lose by record amount to any opponent.. Only a garbage brand of ball can cause that level of talent and experience to lose that badly

LeBron legitimately had Kyrie playing so well that he convinced people that he had a shot at FMVP.
That's how much LeBron elevates his teammates, especially a guy like Kyrie.

Elite shooters are the only player type that doesn't crater alongside Lebron's frontcourt ball-dominance
Otoh, other player types like scoring forwards or spotty-shooting ball-handlers get destroyed... (Bosh, Love, Jamison, Kuzma, Ingram, Hughes, Rose, Wade, Westbrook)

Superior brands of ball movement wear out defenses, so they have less capacity for offense
Lebron's teams always have the highest defensive requirements because they're facing fresh offenses that aren't worn down by a good brand of ball..
Defenses benefit by resting against his ball-dominance, so they eventually have more capacity to "get hot"... The story of Lebron's career is always that an opponent "got hot" against his frontcourt ball-dominance.. But the best defense is a good offense - a tenet of all competition

Lebron would've won the chip each year if he had Kyrie on those first stint Cavs.

no athlete was ever scrutinized and put under a microscope like 2012 Lebron James. Not even close.
It's all his own doing because he lost as the favorite for 3 straight years prior (09-11')
The odds-makers made him the favorite for 3 straight years and he burned them each time - so they weren't falling for the bait in 2012 - they made the Heat super-team underdogs to Westbrick for those Finals
no athlete was ever scrutinized and put under a microscope like 2012 Lebron James. Not even close.
In 2010, Lebron lost a 2-1 lead by averaging 21 on 34% for the last 3 games and then had the goat choke in 2011 - these debacles are the only reason Lebron was scrutinized in 2012 - people were literally like "maybe this guy can't win no matter what his cast is"
Btw, prior to the upset losses from 09-11', Lebron had 2 Westbrick performances in the 07' Finals and 08' ECSF (26 on 35%), so his horrific record against top comp from 07-11' made him an underdog in 2012

The stimulus package with the suspension. The East was a joke as well. Imagine the 2016 cavs going thru the East in 2019 or 2022?

Having a great defense while also being bottom tier on offense (without a dominant scorer or a superstar) isn't a recipe for championship success. Sure, the Celtics made the ECF, but they were on the weaker side of the bracket with aging vets, in a shortened season where they played 5 games a week for most of the season & with only 1 day of rest between most Playoff games. Even the Sixers took the Celtics to 7 games.

LeBron wasn't playing offense against the 27th offense, he was playing offense against the #1 defense. Where he put up 34/11/4 on 59% TS. Your rebuttal has no legs to stand on. Should just quit while you can

That game 6 performance by Lebron in 2012 is the best playoff game anyone has ever played.
As the outcome of that one game had such a massive butterfly effect on the last decade of basketball.
If the Heat lose in 2012.
Does Lebron go back to Cleveland to join Kyrie?
Does the Cavs title happen at all?
Does he just stay in Miami and end up wallowing in the post-Heatles quagmire?
Does he go somewhere else where it seemed like he could build a super team?
Does he ever win a title as the lead dog?
With OKC likely winning that title instead, does Durant even leave?
Does GSW just go B2B in 15/16 and then give way to something else?
Does OKC keep Harden and become the dominant dynasty of the 10s instead?

Also Durant's career, he always faced harder opponents
