People were saying Ja Morant shouldn't have been named the Most Improved Player this season.

People are saying that he was already a star last year, but you look at his production and the fact that he wasn't an All-Star nor All-NBA last year and he actually has a good case for it. Significant increase in production + a 1st time All-Star/All-NBA. That's basically what Ingram and Randle did the previous two years as well.

Significant increase in production + a 1st time All-Star/All-NBA. That's basically what Ingram and Randle did the previous two years as well.
He's literally the perfect choice. Off to bigger and better things like the majority of that list.

Ja was a poor choice because he was not the player most improved over his previous season. He was already approaching this level by the end of last season.

Garland and Maxey took much larger jumps.

My point is you can literally say the same about the list I posted. We knew McGrady was special in Toronto, just needed to get from under his cousin.
Ja improved his scoring by 8 points.
