View Full Version : When I said that Ingram couldn't grow alongside Lebron, I was told that Ingram sucked

.
No one refuted that Lebron's brand and style hurt Ingram - the argument was that Ingram sucked so it didn't matter.

Now that Ingram doesn't suck and played better than Pippen ever did, we can confirm that Lebron's frontcourt ball-dominance was infact the culprit and he's a cancer - Pippen wouldn't develop alongside Lebron just like Ingram saw a 1-year drop across the board in 2019 (PER, BPM, WS/48, VORP)

Westbrook, Hughes and Wade were also bad fits - Lebron's frontcourt ball-dominance has the worst fits and chemistry ever, so he can't win with brand of ball (organic) and needs talent-based winning (team-hopping.. all-star team strategy).. Only elite shooters don't crater alongside Lebron.

Yikes another LeBron thread. We get it....LeBron's Goat. Kobe's borderline top twelve. We agree, now move on.

We know he won MIP the moment he left LeCancer.

Can't make that up

Bron won't be in the Top 10 in 15 years ...age will not he kind to his weak legacy .

Too many blemishes for his weak longevity stats to carry him

'Rich mans scottie pippen' hasn't even won a playoff series yet, let alone lead his team to the conference finals. :yaohappy:

Why not? Seriously. I would like to hear your reasoning why it would be so hard to believe.

Exactly - it's a weak legacy that won't stand the test of time

He team-hopped for talent-based, one-off titles that decimate a franchise and rejected the pursuit of MANY rings vis dynasty chemistry and brand of ball.

So his resume is a paper tiger that will be easily superceded once someone like Giannis or another star (Kawhi, Jokic, Tatum) get multiple organic rings... Then his resume will be in jeopardy

Yep, weakest legacy of all the "greats."

Ingram is a classic late bloomer.

When he and LeBron were on the same team, Ingram was not that good and LeBron had to help teach him how to play winning basketball.

LeBron's capabilities and legacy are spectacular and inspire players to keep improving.

Yet his improvement happened after he was teammates with Lebron.

So?

Correlation doesn't equal causation.

Different players progress at different rates.

not one person here gets how important fred vinson is for ingram(and lonzo). ingram went from 33% from 3 on 2 attempts a game and 68% from the line to 39% from 3 on 6 attempts a game and 85% from the line. The free throws especially have very little to do with who he's playing with. That's just not typical player development and there are plenty of youtube videos that showed he overhauled his jump shot.

To add on for lonzo. He went from 33% on 5 attempts a game and 42% from the line to 38% on 6 attempts and 57% from the line his 1st year in NO and 38% on 8 attempts and 78% from the line his 2nd year.

This makes too much sense.

For OP everything comes down to Lebron. He fits everything into that box.

Ingram's 3 point percentage took a massive 1-year drop alongside Lebron.

So you guys just can't accept facts

Lebron cratered every teammate that he ever had except elite shooters - it's a testament to his simpleton, AAU skillset (big-man ball-dominance) that only 1 player type fits with him (elite shooters)

As you said correlation doesn't equal causation.

So Lebron doesn't have anyrhing to do with Ingram's improvement.
