View Full Version : Morant is more Westbrick than Rose

Hes been disappointing so far, playing with very little self awareness and sophistication. Just barge head first into the paint at full speed, with no control. thats classic Westbrick. Where are the floaters and midrange jumpers?

And defense sags off him at the three point like like they do with Westbrick. Nobody sags off Rose at the three point line and hes not afraid to pull the trigger when he has the space. Thats IQ mixed with confidence.

I love Ja's skill, but until he learns to play methodically and use his brain not just his athleticism, he aint winning shit.

But didn't you tell us before that he was more worthy of becoming league mvp over the likes of joel embiid and nikola jokic? :ohwell:

I posted this same opinion a week ago and you literally melted into tears over it.

Just LOL.

And how is what I said then and what I say now contradictory? Being a regular season MVP candidate does not mean automatically you can win a ring. Only a dingus can think that. Case in point Jokic

I doubt that, since you don't have opinions, and just troll and suck off Lebron 24/7.

Cool story. They probably would have won that game if he let bane score higher.

Oh that's you since you can't stop thinking of such homosexual word until now. Move on, geek.

Nice deflection, as always when you get caught in one of your logical fallacies. Stop being a dingus, and you won't be called that, pretty simple.

Doesn't change the fact that his team still won 20+ games without him during the rs, doofus. But go on cry us a river.

Rose was more poise and more clutch. But Morant so far impresses me more than Westbrick ever did.

Id agree with this.

Morant isnt WESTBROOK dumb on the court, but he’s also not particularly smart. You dont really want the ball starting in his hands on a final possession.

Unfortunately the Grizz dont really have a steady handed vet like a Derek Fischer to get things under control at the end and read the defense before setting the pace for a final play.

Im sure Morant will get better to some extent, but not sure what the ceiling is as far as being the floor general in those situations.

Come on man. Morant made multiple clutch buckets and came close to winning the game. Let's not make too much of it just yet.

And correct, he's not as good of a three point shooter as Rose. Give him time to develop though. He's still pretty young.

Lol at Axe popping up in every Morant thread. It's like a game of whack-a-dingus. :lol

And he’s more Isiah Thomas than Westbrook.

Midwit with shot jacking tendencies. Unlikely to ever find that real GOAT tier shot/odd balance like Nash, CP3, Magic, etc.

I just didn't like how he flexed after one of his layups. This guy weighs 165 lbs. The problem is you can't bang back on a lightweight. They'll just flop and play the victim.

Yeah, the flexing thing after making a basket is a trend that gets on my nerves no matter who's doing it.

Not a bad comparison, Like Isiah, he can't really play defense & shoot. Although Isiah is a better facilitator while Ja scores more.
