They also said Gary Payton II is one of the most athletic NBA player ever and much more athletic than his dad.

And he floated around the league until he was 27. Scouts have to be in hell in some front offices. Just dummies with no eye for talent running things over the guys like the ones in this video who can actually see attributes.

Do you guys not watch games? Yeah he's athletic and has great defensive potential but the game is over 70% mental and payton jr has consistently made bone head decisions on the floor this year.

Where do you see this? He's been an awesome decision maker in the playoffs thus far. His patience is admirable. He won't just chuck an open shot, he'll pump fake and get his teammates an even better one. That's not to mention all the hustle plays. Him and Wiggins got the Warriors an incredible amount of 2nd chance points last night. With Curry and Klay shooting like crap they pretty much saved them. In the Nuggets series closeout game GP2 made all the plays in crunch time to win. He's probably the furthest thing from a bonehead that I've ever seen.

Hope he gets one big pay day before he's done

He is but he wouldn't be if he had to carry the offense and play 40 minutes a night like his dad

A big reason why GP2 is so effective is that he's able to play in short bursts + he's not asked to do much on offense

Yeah he hasn't been bad this post season but my post was more about his play this season. He only gets 17 min a game for a reason. He's a player that can really only play the pg spot the problem is he isn't a great decision maker offensively. He can't even really shoot it consistently. All he really gives you is good defense and a couple fast break points. even in that area he's been inconsistent at times. His potential is great but he makes alot of mental lapses like over playing passing lanes and being too aggressive defensively. With someone like Draymond you can justify leaving him on the court for alot of minutes because he's bigger and longer and he's a good playmaker and significantly better defensively. With gp it's a question on if his defensive impact outweighs his offensive non impact and more often than not the answer it's not.

They also said that in the video.
