no carry-jobs against good teams in 2 decades of playing.

That's the historical record, so don't believe the media saying that Giannis and Luka are like Lebron.. In 2007, Lebron only needed 25 on 45% to beat the #6 SRS Pistons, whilst Giannis and Luka need 30+ to carry their teams against the top 2 teams in the league (Suns, Celtics)..

Anytime Lebron beat a top 5 SRS team, he had Wade, Kyrie, AD or Bosh to match or exceed his scoring like the 16' Finals or 11' ECF.. Or he had JR Smith getting 18/8 on 66 true shooting against the 15' Hawks (prime Pippen caliber), or Love getting 21/11 against the 18' Raptors..

He simply never carried bed-wetting teammates over good teams or defeated maximum defensive attention (carried scoring load in Finals) because he lacks the elite jumpshooting skill or post dominance that is needed.. He literally lacks the skills to have carry-jobs against good teams, so he needs juggernaut scoring help, including all-time elite scorers at sidekick.

Luka's brand is similar to Lebron's except he isn't afraid to take contested jumpers (doesn't have to set up lullaby jumpers) and requires a double team.. His scoring is lethal enough that it's worth compromising the defense by double-teaming (creating a 4-on-3 off-the-ball)..

Otoh, Lebron's scoring was never lethal enough to double and get the ball out of his hands - coaches were content to let the opposing big man dominate the ball (horrible brand of ball).

It's interesting because Luka's time of possession went down 20% in the last 2 games, while his assisted rate quintupled (went from 0 to 5% - yes, Luka didn't have a single assisted bucket in the first 2 games).
