Look at the Memphis vs GSW. The likes of Desmond Bane, JJJ, Kyle Anderson, Tyus Jones and other third rate players were able to make great plays for 3+ quarters. Then what happens when GSW put on that pressure late in 4th? They crumbled like the role players they are.

A guy can have great efficient stats or play great offense/defense, but so can Memphis' role players. It means nothing if he can't bring it late in games or in pressure cooker situations.

That's always been my argument when it comes to Kobe vs Shaq. You need a closer to consistently win in the POs.

If all games go down to the wire then yes but there's to many blowouts for that to be true.

Every team needs 1 or 2 players that have great iso capabilities to keep advancing deeper in the playoffs.

Every finals winner had someone that was great at Iso ball.

But too much Iso ball like Durant / Kyrie without team play = loss.

Yes, the first 46-47 minutes typically don’t matter.

You joke but it's the last 2 minutes of the game where all the low IQ opinions about basketball come into play about "closers".

You sound like the fan of someone who can't close.

Of course it's not the only stat that matters. That's kind of a silly premise. Coming through in the clutch is important, but a team has to fight to make the game close in the first place.

Yes some shots are worth more than others. And have a ramped up difficulty.

I remember playing pick-up ball at San Diego State - there were always a group of guys made up of former SDSU players that tried to dominate the court and stay on the court all night

I liked to form a team of bums to go against them so that I could dominate on a 1-man team and shoot every time.

There were few days that my 1-man team would beat them.. What normally happened was that we would get out to a nice lead before they got going and tightened the screws.. They would claw their way back and it became very difficult to score when it was like 8-8 (going to 11).. There's a different caliber when all the money is on the line

Curry is the worst player I've ever seen late in games. Ever

You must have missed yesterdays game then. Curry had 18 points in the 4th quarter last night mate.

One man stands alone in clutch production

The stats show that it isn't remotely close
