To the retards, yes, he saved his legacy by not advancing to the finals.

To high IQ individuals, his legacy would have been enhanced further if he made it to the finals regardless of result.

No, OP, sucking in the post season did not improve Harden's legacy.

The variety of alts that are FUMING every time the ridiculousness of this "logic" is exposed keeps on expanding. :oldlol:
Will Tatum add to his legacy tonight by making sure he doesn't lose in the finals? Stay tuned. All he has to do is somehow lose the game. Can he accomplish such a feat?

Mikey was a hamstring injury away from barely scraping into the top 25 all time. It wasn't long ago that sports media were questioning if James Harden is as good as Michael Jordan on the offensive end and quite frankly they made some compelling arguments.

They spent years saying retard shit about losing in the finals being a negative.

Using that retard logic, if someone loses before making the finals, it cannot be a negative either.

If Jordan went to the finals every single year of his career 13 times, lost 7, but won 6, that is a positive no? An even more legendary career.

Bruh it's not that it's not better to go further because obviously it is it's just that it's not significantly better to go further. The objective is to win it all plain and simple. Anything short of that is a disappointment. That's the way this should be looked at. Nobody who loses in the finals says that was less disappointing than losing in the first round. Both suck dude. This is what I don't get about Bron Stans. In an effort to elevate brons atg ranking they legit try to pretend that losing in the finals is a great thing and it just isn't. A losers a loser. It doesn't really matter if you lose sooner or later you're in still a loser.

This is relative to the best players in the game obviously. In general just making the NBA and losing every game is amazing.

No one's arguing Harden vs. Bran.

If you're going to make the argument that Bran had a better Playoff career than MJ because he made more Finals, then we're going to point to his Finals losses and pick that argument apart.

13 lakers were trash. 04 lakers choked but I wouldnt call them a superteam. shaq and kobe is enough to be a superteam so I guess it counts. every team lebron every played on was a superteam, because he's on the team.

how did the malik monk austin reaves westbrook superteam do without leGOAT? if I remember correctly every single win was because of lebron. and all of those close losses the only player hooping was lebron while the rest of the team was letting scrubs like the jalen green rockets shit on them.

Lebron lost 3 Finals with the preseason favorite, and 3 more times he was the Finals underdog with the preseason favorite.

Only a bad brand of ball causes favored talent to underachieve, so Lebron clearly has the worst brand ever.

Ultimately, every team that didn't win the title wouldn't make the Finals in the other conference - Finals appearances are essentially conference-dependant, so only winning the Finals matters

dude you're not allowed to have an opinion any more. you've been exposed so many times that it's a joke.

all of your arguments are based on false assumptions that elevate or diminish players based on the point that you're trying to make. what happened to all of the paragraphs that you made me read explaining how KG is definitively a better player than lebron?

even this post right here assumes that lebron underachieved because he lost in the finals to a better team. how did he underachieve by losing to the 2014 spurs and 2015 and 2017, 2018 warriors when he was the best player in every single series? :oldlol:

mike never ran into a single team as good as any of those teams. please explain to me again how malone and stockton are equivalent to klay curry dray and kd.

:biggums: Jordan winning 6 is better than Jordan winning 4. I can remember when I was about four years old being able to comprehend that 6 > 4. Which puts you Bronies on about a three-year-old's level intellectually.

Stains don't get it. Its not the fact that Lebron lost in the finals that weakens his legacy. Its the fact that it happened to him so many times, that its literally the main association with him - a guy that gets to the finals and loses. That is a sign that he can't finish the job, that he made it there through easy conference, whatever. Tendency is clear: he always gets close, but doesn't complete the final step. Kobe lost twice in the finals as well but that doesn't hurt his legacy because he won five times. If you lose in the finals but win more it doesn't matter. But Lebron lost more than he won. Losing finals is synonymous with Lebron. And from the phrase 'losing finals' the most striking part is 'LOSING'.

Lebron played with Shaq who won league mvp and 3 finals mvp's and lost in round 2. Lebron played with Peak Duncan who had won 2 league mvp's and 3 finals mvp's and won bronze medal. Lebron played with Peak Wade who won finals mvp and got outplayed by Jason Terry. Lebron played with Derrick Rose who won mvp under age 30 which was the same as Kevin Durant who won mvp under 30 while both were on Golden State and Cleveland. Lebron played with mulitple PER leaders as well and now Russell Westbrook a league mvp winner and more triple doubles than Oscar Robertson. Yet despite all of that Lebron lost with all of them.

He has Prime Melo who won a scoring title and all time leader in scoring for the Olympics. He has Dwight Howard a 3x DPOY and a guy who beat Lebron without HCA. He has Westbrook who is the modern day Oscar Robertson and also won league mvp along with average a Triple Double 4 years in a row. He also has Rondo who is a hall of famer.

Yet despite all of that Lebron lost with all of them.

http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?500416-Why-did-Pelinka-surround-Lebron-with-a-bullshit-roster
He has peak Anthony Davis, the best player on the 2020 squad and the reason the Lakers did anything as the 2019 Lakers missed the playoffs and 2021 Lakers lost in round 1 when AD wasn't around.

Why didn't he play it against Dwight Howard in 2009 when Dwight was dominating http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?459570-How-is-it-even-possible-to-lose-to-Dwight-Howard-in-a-series-with-HCA/page10? Or against Duncan or KG or Dirk? Why did he run away from KD a guy at his position?

Difference between Lebron and Tmac?
http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?494830-Difference-between-Lebron-and-Tmac
Both 0-2 with HCA against 50+ win teams until they joined forces with someone who won as the man. Also won bronze medals.

Tmac lost to Utah in 2007 while Lebron was losing to a career loser in Dwight Howard and also Carlos Arroyo in the Olympics with peak Tim Duncan on his squad despite playing more minutes than Hakeem even played on the 1996 Olympic team.

Bronie logic: If you're the runner up a bunch of times, it's better than winning a championship a few times....because that's what the maths tell me.

Lebron faced a team lead by Rodney Stuckey in the first round when he had Dwade and Chris Bosh.

This is what Bran stans can't defend in the argument.

Cool, Bran made 10 Finals. In how many of them did he face All-NBA/superstar-level players in the first 3 rounds? Just because Heat lost in the Finals in '14 doesn't mean that they were the 2nd best team in the league. Put them out West and they lose to OKC or San Antonio in the Semis/WCF. Going up against 38-43 win teams in the first round and beating teams teams that wouldn't even crack top 3 in the WC in the ECF isn't worth jack shit compared to a championship.

Making 4 Finals appearances & losing all of them in convincing fashion (Sweep in '07, historic blowout losses in '14, '17 & '18) is not as good as winning a championship. No one's picking Karl Malone over Giannis because of the Finals appearances. No one's picking Jerry West over Hakeem or Duncan or Bird.

What season was that?
LeBron faced Rodney Stuckey in the playoffs once: In 2009, when his #2 guy was Mo Williams, who ironically would be about as known as Rodney Stuckey today had he not played with LeBron, who made him into an all-star.

The retards bite every time a topic like this gets made. :oldlol:. Hook line sinker.

Retard logic:
Making the finals and losing is bad for your legacy.
Losing in the 2nd round doesn't impact your legacy.

We know they only saying losing in finals is bad because Bron has 10 finals appearances and Jordan only has 6. So they had to find a way to twist it around against Bran.

Making themselves a retard argument in the process.

Successful thread.

If Jordan went to the finals 13 times and won even 3 out of a 13, hell just 2, and led his teams in all 13 finals runs, I would have nothing to say, he'd be the GOAT.

High IQ basketball fans know how difficult it is to lead a team to the finals. It isn't easy.

Every single NBA coach knows this, every single of the 500 NBA players know how hard this is. Every single owner knows how hard it is.

But the retard fans don't and they don't need to know. NBA is just an entertainment business anyway.
