I know he’s not truly a ‘max’ player, but... he’s pretty close, and Phoenix is not gonna be very competitive with him gone and Chris Paul declining. Not to mention a max today isnt even gonna look like a max in the new CBA.
Is it just cause they dont wanna cough up a whole bunch of money in the short term to have three guys on max deals? I know it’s pricey but damn, you cant just lose Ayton for nothing.
I’m really surprised at this whole thing.
Also do you think theres any chance that perhaps there could be a way that Lebron gets him?

Sarver slowly gonna lose it all, just like his fellow racist sicko, Donald Tokowitz Sterling.

He does use Magnum’s so I think you have to give him some benefit of the doubt he’ll find a way to come out on top.
We’ve seen it too many times with Lebron.

He wants max money but the Suns are ****ed if they give him max money with an aging CP3 still getting max money.
Their best window was this year and they blew it.

Yeah they had two shots at it and it's over now.

he's a 23 yr old C with USG% only behind Jokic, Embiid, Towns, and Vucevic. with a TS% above all the players I just mentioned, 7th in TRB%. And these are playoff numbers.
sure, they were only able to play him 30 minutes a game, he was still 2nd in VORP on the team though

We've seen this movie before. In Nash's first year with the Suns they were legit title contenders. Then Sarver started breaking up the team the next year, trading away JJ because he didn't want to pay him.

Wonder if they might be better off keeping Ayton, and just trading Paul for an expirer like Westbrick whom they could buy out.
