View Full Version : Can we all appreciate the greatness and Warriors MVP-ness of Klay Thompson?

Last season, a basically identical roster with the only difference being Klay not playing, missed the playoffs. Well, to say that they had the same roster minus Klay last season is a bit misleading. They also had 15 ppg averaging Kelly Oubre and 12 ppg averaging James Wiseman.
However, this season, as soon as Klay returns, they suddenly go to the finals with him dominating in the closeout game of the conference finals.

The underrating of this 20 ppg averaging all-defensive selection is reminiscent of the unfair treatment of The Great Scott Pippen.

So we are suppose to also ignore how the warriors started this season without Klay?

Agenda aside, yes Klay is a phenomenal player that the warriors needed. I don't think anybody ever says otherwise

The Wizards started the season 10-3. I couldn't give less of a shit.

Yes, they do. Either that, or they only praise him RE-actively, as if he was a role player, and not PRO-actively, as the Team MVP that he is.

Last year, Poole had not matured and Wiggins hadn't figured out how to play within this offense.

Until Game 5, Klay was shooting UNDER 30% from 3 pt range in the series. He ended with a 37% 3 PT FG%, below Curry and Poole. His % was also lower than all Dallas starters except Doncic (who shot just 34% from 3 pt range)- all other 4 Dallas starters shot the 3 with higher efficiency.

His defense has taken a big hit; there was times he let Doncic go right around him. The old Klay would never let that happen.

Klay is a great asset to GSW but he's not 100% yet- makes sense being out for 2 years.

Curry haters praise of Klay are really attacks disguised as praise. What they really mean is we wish Curry was a worse player and had a boring personality so he'd be less popular like Klay.

jordon extremist alts talking about "attacks disguised as praise". That's priceless.

You mean like your constant sucking off of AD/Kyrie/Love/Wade/Bosh?

The only difference is that you won't find a post of me bashing Klay and then flip-flop to praise him like your countless alts:

GS was 29-9 before Klay played his first game.

In the WCF Klay averaged 18.6/3.8/3.2

Poole started last season in the GLeague. He only played 51 games averaging 12 ppg.
