Just to see how it would go if players could sign wherever they choose.

Not this year obviously, since the draft is already planned. But next year, lets say a kid like Bronny for example wants to sign with LAL, or Cleveland, or whoever. If he could just pick where he wants to go instead of having to be drafted, thatd be wassup.

Thats how it works with international football. Theres no draft, you just sign wherever.

We should try that next year, and let kids like Bronny sign where they want, and then we can go back to regular the year after, so that we can see how it works out for that class.

Your thoughts?

If you do that, then you need to eliminiate the max contracts, but keep the cap.

Get teams to overspend and create balance that way.

I like it better if they did what football did previous to the European Union regulations, like give some incentives for signing local players.

NBA teams should sponsor local colleges and have the be their feeder teams basically.

they should experiment with distributing the talent equally throughout the league before each season

but that will probably never happen because fairness goes against the dominant ethos of the world

There should also be relegation for the teams.
The NBA actually rewards incompetence by giving draft picks.

They could make the lottery odds equal for all teams. That would eliminate the incentive to tank.
