If your "GOAT" was the "GOAT" wouldn't every player in the NBA look up to him like they look up to MJ? But nope, tatum, kyrie, kawhi all of those players look up to kobe and always mention him whenever possible. Let this sink in bronsexuals. NOBODY thinks LEBUM is a GOAT besides you ******s in here and ESPN

also lebron is less relatable because more freakish

people can see themselves in kobe when in reality almost nobody will be as good as him

Besides free throws, what does Kobe do better than LeBron?

Scoring: No
Passing: No
Leading: No
Rebounding: No
Clutch: No
Defense: No

What else is there?

Kobe's simply a more skilled player than Bran, so young players become a fan of his as they study his game in order to improve theirs. There's little they can take from Lebron that's predicated on actual still, which is why Kobe is the more respected player.

If kids modelled their game after LeBron they would just join the better team and call it a day.

Lebron passed up Kobe. Lebron will not pass up MJ. Accept these facts and move on with life.

Same reason the NBA started catering the game to guards. More relatable. More viewership. More shoe sales. Shame about the rape scandal tanking Kobe's Q scores right as he was on the cusp of BITW. Otherwise he would've been the perfect poster boy for marketing.

If LeBron was drafted by the Lakers and not one of the historically worst franchises in league history, he would be consensus #1, and it wouldn't be close.
If Kobe had played for any team other than the Lakers and maybe Knicks, him and "GOAT" would never get mentioned in the same sentence.

Kobe wasn't drafted by the lakers either. Not sure what your point is. :confusedshrug:

People tend to remember those that recently died.

Kobe couldn't reach the top 10 while he was alive, he sure as hell won't while he's dead. His fans need to let go of this.

Curry will bump Kobe another spot down. Deal with it.

Eras. They grew up with Kobe, we will slowly start to see younger players having Bron as their fave player, likewise as the GOAT hence this video a couple years ago

at least half the starting centers are not american

best pf is not american

best young pg is not american and big for position

4 straight mvps big non americans

3 best players in the league big non americans

defensive player of the decade big non american

the memory of yao ming combined with china having a billion more people in a growing economy

causes for anxiety encouraging small/positionless ball and the overrating of american smalls out of an instinct for national pride/preservation in a cutthroat world

or perhaps i'm wrong and the global profit motive will prevail

either way impending planetary doom

Kobe wasn't a better player although his game looked pretty when you take away the bad shots that missed (tbf he did make some). He was a good athlete that basically tried to copy MJ. LeBron does more. He's quite big and isn't going to copy the likes of MJ like that because he doesn't have to. It wouldn't make sense. He's more SF/PG/PF/Center/SG than pure SG. Kobe was simply incapable of being what LeBron is. It's fine. It is what it is. Not gonna talk bad about the dead. Paying homage to Kobe is great but I think the obsession his stans have with him is weird af.

I know.
The only way that LeBron was ever going to play for a popular franchise like the Lakers was if he was drafted directly by them. There's no way in hell that anyone would trade a kid who was known to be a 100% certain #1 pick since the age of 16 on draft night, like they did with Kobe.

Kobe is a cemented top 7 player

While Lebron universally recognized as a top 15 player

Only media and forum think Lebron is good lol (miniority of the fan base)

The only thing Lebum ever inspired kids to do was Lebroning in the hallways of their High School. If it wasn't for sports media's constant **********y and his low IQ fans, nobody would consider the bum to ever be Goat. That's just the honest truth.

Maybe they look up to a player that actually had balls, that didnt rely on flopps, that won more than he lost on the big stage, that has style. A player thats loyal, a player that was intelligent and articulate outside the court

A player who wasnt scared to do the dunk contest. Or maybe they was inspired by the way kobe recued team usa's honor in the olympics. A player who doesnt jump ship when things get tough.

I could go on lol
