Look at the discrepancy between the numbers here, while also remembering that the 1996-97 season had the shortened, pee-wee 3pt line:

:facepalm Is there a modern equivalent of a player who is this allergic to the 3 point line?

I wonder when we will see a player extend their turn-around jumper to 3 point territory. MJ shot a crazy high % on 2's because his footwork in the post out there was the best.

Giannis was a better 3 point shooter.

The key column on that page is FGA from 3 which was .08 compared to .354 for long 2s.
What does that mean? It means MJ wasn't looking to shoot 3s in the flow of the offense. Therefore a lot of his attempts were forced shots to beat the clock.

You would think Lebron is a long range sniper the way his stans keep harping on about MJ's 3pt percentage. In reality he is barely average and that is in the 3pt shooting era. Stains gonna stain though

Hmmmmm, interesting. Who won the championship in the 96-97 season? Better yet, who won FMVP? It had to have been someone with a really, really high 3 point %, because that's by far the most important measure of how good a player is.

Rose isn’t even average :oldlol:

Rose isn’t even average :oldlol:
Rose shot above 40 percent in the last two seasons for the Knicks:facepalm I'm not going out of my way though to put down another player so that my favorite would look good, that is reserved for Bronies

A sample size of 61 games on low volume? Seriously? :oldlol:
LeBron shot over 40% from 3 over a full season anyways.

There is one modern player who has had such huge "long 2 to actual 3" drop in percentage:
