lebron's defensive impact in the 16 finals (he's the real reason curry 'settled' for a 3 over love) often gets overlooked because of his offensive brilliance. that got me thinking has mj ever impacted a finals like this defensively?

91 - embarrassed by magic
92 - clyde dropped 25 ppg on him with a bad hammy
93 - torched by majerle (danny boy had a higher off. rtg than mj in finals)
96 - stood in the corner pretending to guard hersey hawkins
97 - stood in the corner pretending to guard bryon russell
98 - stood in the corner pretending to guard bryon russell

the answer appears to be no.

jordon was never the best defender on his team in a finals series. This is a widely known fact, starting with his coach Phil Jackson who put The Great Scott Pippen to guard the opponents' best player Magic Johnson in the Bulls' first finals.

Jordan was always better. We saw what happened when elite bigs on the floor, Lebron always loses and with HCA. Lost to Dwight, lost to KG, lost to Dirk with HCA. Got taken 7 by Roy Hibbert. lol

it looks like we are all in agreement that the answer to this question is an emphatic...NO. of course if anyone disagrees they can name the finals mj had an equal or greater impact defensively than legoat in 16..."we're" waiting.

Yes Curry took a three (when guarded by a mismatch), how uncommon of him, must be because of Lebron

bran stains are the dumbest people on the planet.
