The 76ers were incredibly successful once Wilt become their playmaker.

76er's record when Wilt has 7+ assists:

1965: 2-0

1966: 19-3

Total: 21-3

1967: 46-2

Total: 67-5

1968: 40-11

Total: 107-16

Playoffs: 15-5


Also here is a fun fact.

Did you know Wilt’s 6.8 APG in the 1967 finals stands as the record for highest APG by a Center in the Finals.

The year he led the league in assists they played a triangle offense. I think the coach was Tex Winter's buddy or something.

Alex Hannum was the coach and he played with Tex at USC’.

Their coach was Sam Berry, who ran something called “the center option,” a forerunner of the offense Winter would devise, the “triangle,” that he taught the Bulls under Phil Jackson, after which they won six NBA titles in the ‘90s

Interesting. Some of those '50s, '60s and '70s offenses were interesting. It seemed like the introduction of Illegal Defense at the beginning of the '80s kind of made some of those schemes forgotten for a time. A lot of the modern actions we see today are old school schemes from fifty to seventy years ago.
