Should tell Steph to stop getting abused defensively while you're at it:rockon:

We'll at least you acknowledge that. Most Steph fans are in denial about it.

And 6'3 isn't an excuse. The dpoy this year was around that height.

Not really lots of players do it. To be fair curry tries hard defensively. He just struggles on that end at times.

No he's not. He's just the smallest one so they want to get the match-up to shoot over him, but he holds his own and plays sound, fundamental defense overall and is stronger than people give him credit for. When he picked up his 4th, they kept trying to attack him and their offense stagnated, which allowed GS to get back into the game.

Bruh he was terrible tonight. I agree he's been decent for the most part this year but he was bad tonight. He got worked all night

Smart's off the ball defense probably raised some eyebrows.

Yes he is.

Defense is much more than fundamentals.

Defense in the NBA is largely predicted on athleticism, length, and toughness.... curry lacks all 3

I agree curry is fundementally sound and can focus decently for extended periods. But he gets abused because he gets overpowered, or fails to affect shots due to lack of length/athleticism

The finals are max intensity, which exploits Currys weaknesses athletically and mentally. I watched him get overpowered and leave guys wide open several times today. He's just not a good defender.

defense is about making your opponent work harder

At times, sure, but he's not a liability out there either. He's a good defender for his position & size. He's out there running a marathon on offense so I'm not expecting him to be their best defender out there either, but you saw it in the Mavs series when Luka tried to hunt him and he held his own against a much bigger guy, and he's had great possessions defensively in this series as well.

That's not their issue. They got outhustled in this game and got no offense outside of Steph & Klay for the most part and Green has been pathetic in two 4th quarters in this series. This was the first time in 3 games that they also got beat on the glass so they've held up on that end in 2/3 games so far this series. He played in foul trouble for most of this game so he couldn't really be aggressive on D either, he was solid on D in the first 2 games IMO and the numbers back that up as well if you look at the On/Off numbers with him compared to Klay, Wiggins, Dray & Poole.

He played in foul trouble and still held up for most of the game. Y'all acting like he's Trae Young on defense :facepalm ****ing casuals.

Curry's defense was actually very good in game 2, but it was bad tonight. The problem is, although he is fundamentally sound on that end, his physical stature is a weakness against bigger guards. Even Marcus Smart was bullying him tonight.

their spacing is the issue, Green is looking like Gobert in the playoff in this final. slow to rotation because he runs to a set spot during transition, pnr. but lets call it for what it is, the Boston played with more physicality at home during man to man, and many dangerous passes out of the dribble drive did not turned into fast break points for the Warriors tonight.

kerr needs to make those defensive adjustments.

Looney and Green also need to protect the defensive glass better.
