He's a DPOY big man level player, elite offensive rebounder, elite shotblocker, elite finisher, and surprisingly a good passer. Plus he doesn't foul, low TO, and you can't take advantage of his FT% like so many past DPOY bigs.

This guy is phenomenal. In some other teams he'd be a max player.

He’s an injury liability. Guys never fully healthy.

Love the guy, but it’s the truth.

Hes a great piece but you cant pay a guy like that the max.

Granted theres a lot of “first option” types who currently make the max and shouldnt as well, but they at least sell jerseys n shit, so on a financial level you can understand it.

He’s a really nice player but cmon. In fact they played at basically the same level when Theis was filling in for him.

C’s are just a great all around team, no one guy is indispensable.

wouldn't necessarily call a stronger Chris Andersen a max player

He's an injury-prone big man who hasn't played one healthy season. He's always going to be hurt and miss a significant time in the RS and be a question mark in the POs. He's DPOY-level when he's right but any FO would be dumb to give him 4+ years 100m+, it never works out with guys like him.

who cares

all these guys are overpaid

williams is not dpoy or all nba level and he's barely all defense level depending on how they want to frame things

Yeah such a shame he's somewhat a zionist but he's only 24. There's hope for him yet.

Really important cog on a title team. When he was healthy they were killing the league.

If he can stay relatively healthy Tatum and co may win multiple titles

Brad getting him locked up at 13 million for 4 years was very astute.

Feel like they need another big for depth who can play more than a PG or wing

I don't watch the Celtics other than when the Hawks play them or when they get destroyed by a team a like, so Williams has been a total revelation to me these playoffs. He is a total menace in the paint.

Twig shouldn’t sniff a max contract. Whatever Myles Turner makes is good enough money for twig…

Looks like twig’s nickname has become a double entendre. Seeing how not only is he bone thin like a twig but now he also breaks every bone in his body like a twig :oldlol:
