Cause his teammates were stopped.

The Cavs as a team had an efficiency of 49.6% TS%. LeBron was at 62% TS%. Outside LeBron, the team efficiency drops to 45% TS%. The Cavs outside LeBron shot 37% from the field for the Finals. LeBron shot 52.7%. The Cavs outside LeBron shot 28.8% from deep. LeBron shot 33.3%. The Cavs outside LeBron shot 65% from the FT line. LeBron shot 84%.

but he was able to sweep Kyle Korver's Hawks, which had 4 all stars.

one can't be "unstoppable" and literally swept immediately thereafter.

Prior super-teams had given Lebron the only 2-star team in the conference and a shoal of Finals veterans in 2018, which was a massive edge over newbie, 0-star opponents.

And who cares about carry-jobs against bad teams

The 18' Celtics were only #7 SRS, so Lebron never beat a top 5 SRS team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (zero carry-jobs against good teams in 2 decades of playing).

Lebron can't have carry-jobs against good teams because his high scoring is too ball-dominant to beat good teams, so he needs equal-scoring partners that can match or lead him in scoring for entire playoff runs (11', 16', 20')..

In addition to a weak brand that can't beat good teams at high scoring levels, Lebron lacks the elite jumpshooting skill needed to defeat maximum defensive attention (carry scoring load in Finals)...So once again he needs equal-scoring partners to attract equal defensive attention

That series was the definition of a carry job.

Those same Celtics rolling over every other big name superstar this playoffs.

That was in 2015 and this was in 2018. Try to keep up. Also, this '18 Warriors team had 4 All-Stars with 2 making the All-NBA teams and 1 making the All-Def team. LeBron had JR Smith.

Defeated max defensive attention one round previous to the series against the Celtics (34 to 13 in the ECF lol..carry job).

He scored 14 more PPG against the #2 SRS team though. Your definition.

Probably LeBron's greatest series played. ECF 2018.

That or 2012 ECF.

Carry-jobs against good teams are the only kind that matter.. who cares about carry-jobs against bad teams?

Those Celtics were garbage and Lebron has no carry-jobs against top 5 SRS teams.

He can't have carry-jobs against good teams because his high scoring is too ball-dominant to beat good teams, so he needs equal-scoring partners that can match or lead him in scoring for entire playoff runs (11', 16', 20')..

Love averaged 21/11 against the #2 SRS Raptors, so Lebron never beat a top 5 SRS team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (no carry-jobs against good teams in 2 decades of playing)

Individually he was unstoppable

Team wise he was facing a squad with 4 prime HOFers consisting of arguably the best defender ever, the 3 best shooters ever, and 2 perennial MVP candidates all in their starting lineup. LeBron had JR Smith.

Carry on

JR Smith averaged 18/8 on 67 TS, so Lebron never beat a top 5 SRS team with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick (no carry-jobs against good teams in 2 decades of playing)

Btw, who cares about beating Al Horford-led teams like the 15' Hawks or 18' Celtics.. smh... If Al Horford is a team's best player, then they're a paper tiger.. On a championship team, Horford is 4th best player at best

Oh shit we're counting rebounds now?? :lol

But yea..Lebron averaged 34/11/8 on 53%. 14 points more than the second option. By your definition that is defeating maximum attention.

Love averaged 21 on 48% against the #2 SRS Raptors

He can't have carry-jobs against good teams because his high scoring is too ball-dominant to beat good teams (so he needs elite-scoring sidekick) and he lacks elite jumpshooting skill to defeat maximum defensive attention, aka carry scoring load in Finals (so he needs equal-scoring partner to attract equal defensive attention)

Ok so "defeating maximum defensive attention" now doesn't even have a definition?! Lol made up criteria that is definitionless. Seems like a worthy mountain to climb.

but this is "also basically the same Celtics team" from 4 years ago? can't have it both ways.

the 2018 Celtics' best player (Kyrie Irving) got injured was out for the entire postseason. so in effect they were lead by ROOKIE jason tatum and 0 All-NBA guys.

this 2022 Celtics have a 1st team All-NBA superstar and "DOPY" Marcus Smart.

and again, you can't be "unstoppable" and also be swept

LMAO! Kyrie was a cancerous loser and he still is. The Celtics went FURTHER in the PO's WITHOUT Irving than they did WITH him.

Superstar? This Celtics team doesn't have a superstar. If you think Tatum is a superstar, you're delusional. Also, I don't give a shit about OP's premise. I wanted to point out how bad of a take you had with "if he was unstoppable, why did he get swept by Draymond the following round?".

You can. MJ was unstoppable in his first 3 seasons and he got eviscerated in the first rounds. Heck, he didn't even have a .500+ record during those seasons in the RS. Heck, he got trounced by the Pistons after that as well. Shaq was unstoppable and he was swept multiple times. That's what happens when you have a shit team and you're the only good player, while going up against FOUR HOF'ers in their PRIMES.
