https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etDQ8bFycxw Still to this day I don't understand why the Milwaukee Bucks traded a 27 years old Ray Allen for a 34 years Gary Payton, and Dunk Champion Desmond Mason back in 2002

Well, it sort of made sense considering they had Michael Redd who basically put up the same numbers as Ray did the next season. While Payton was doing great with 22ppg and 9apg. Anyway, why did Gary Payton not resign with the Bucks? Like they traded away Ray Allen for nothing since he left in the offseason.

He was bumping head with coach George Karl, that's why he got traded. Incredible how that Bucks team went from being top of the conference in the All-Star break in the 2001-2002 to not making the play-offs a couple of months later, only to dismantle a team that was really promising in a heartbeat. They traded Glenn Robinson to the Hawks in the 2002 off-season, then Ray mid-season to the Sonics and finally Cassell in the 2003 off-season went to the Timberwolves. What could have been.
