It’s a little of both I suppose.

The Warriors have a lot of good defenders, but the Celtics could play better. Altho Tatum’s really the only one not doing what youd more or less expect. Boston’s strength is their depth and cohesion, not top heavy firepower.

The interesting thing is it’s a 2-2 series and Im not sure which team has played closer to their ceiling. Going into it a lot of us said “In a vacuum the Dubs are better but the Celtics match up well.” So far we’re getting the series we expected.

you make some good points, boston is not known for the firepower scoring but they are good meshing and good defense. tatum at 34% hurts eye sockets when you read it and i think boston is playing under its weather potential and could be better. curry is above what we expected.

if boston goes up to its level of normal and curry falls down from the altitude atmosphere then boston wins this

They shoot a lot of 3s

Boston is shooting 42.4% (64/151) from 3 pt range
GS is shooting 38.8% (64/165) from 3 pt range (led by Steph's ridiculous 49% on 25/51)

When was the last time a team shot 42%+ from 3pt in the NBA Finals? Have the Warriors ever shot that well from 3 in a playoff series?

Well keep in mind Boston is mainly getting good, open looks.

Most finals there's at least one guy on each team taking hero shots, which inevitably brings the average down.

If Steph can keep his Game 4 cape on for 2 of the next 3 games, he'll deserve that first FMVP. Nobody else is stepping up offensively, so you cant fault him for trying to take over.

But if his shooting falls off, they almost certainly lose and it'll just end up in the history books as another underwhelming finals.

Steph doesnt have to do what he did in game 4 for the rest of the games to win finals mvp? Who do you think he is? Iverson?
