Without shooters to space the floor for him and clear the lane?

People don't realize that previous eras had the same advantage in 2-point shot-making that today's era has in 3-point shot-making

Lebron lacks the pure scoring touch and consistent mid-range repertoire needed to be a big scorer back then .. There were simply less stiff-arm opportunities and driving lanes available, so players were required to deftly shoot over packed paints..

Furthermore, Lebron would be a passive facilitator because the video confirms that he would shy away from the physicality of paint scoring back then (see a clear-cut example here (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?505132-As-much-as-I-love-Michael-Jordan-I-was-giving-buckets-to-Michael-Jordan-quot&p=14620838&viewfull=1#post14620838))

Elgin Baylor, Gus Johnson, Connie Hawkins would be who he would play like. Maybe even George McGinnis.

He'd be competing for best player in the league with Kareem and Dr J. His circumstance (team he's on) would dictate his success. The '70s was a paint-packed, defensive-slanted league; big, bruising centers reigned supreme. It wasn't until the introduction of the Illegal Defense rule scheme that was introduced in 1981 that things began to open up.

Would he put up prime Bob Love with the Bulls numbers?

He'd put up numbers regardless of what team he plays on. Probably does Oscar Robinson numbers, but with greater scoring efficiency. Except for the free throws of course.

MOST people (not you) think in reality. You think in fraud fairy tales. A bulldozing, bully ball James is getting 8 dunks a game if Jeff Hornacek is checking him 1 on 1 my guy. Wake up.

Except they didn't have the same PEDs back then and also no spacing

Not sure LeFeather would have handled it

Why are idiots like OP supposing LBJ would be completely the same player he is today if he was born in the 50s and didn't have the same advantages of the modern player today such as sports nutrition, equipment, training and medicine? There ain't no time machine where you would transport James with all the modern advantages and drop him in 1970 :facepalm Same when talking about Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain, you wouldn't transport their 1960s version to this era. More realistic scenario would be having them being born in 2000 and growing up with all the advantages of today's modern athletes. Just the fact that they would have footwear that doesn't suck would improve their game. Those old school players would be even better today, it's only logical and today's stars would be worse without the advantages of the modern era if they grew up back then. I'm not saying KD, LBJ, Curry would be complete scrubs in that era but they wouldn't be that much superior to the competition because they would be dealing with the same limitstions of that era, they would be stars of course but Lou Williams opinion is just idiotic without context..and no, LeBron ain't winning 15 chips

He would do better in 1985. Really an ideal year to start his career. Because after 5 years, he wouldn't have prime Magic/Bird/Isiah to compete with, and would have the watered down league all to himself. Especially if the GOAT perimeter defender was drafted on his own team. :oldlol: Holy crap, just imagine the carnage.

Who said anything about 17th century?

We're talking about the 1970's

So this confirms that Lebron fans and media misperceive the situation and are therefore wrong..

He's massively overrated... A dumb ball-dominator and perennial loser like Luka until the decision to form super-teams
