View Full Version : Does Pippen win the title in 1994 if you gave him Reggie instead of Pete Myers.

I think he does win the title that year with Reggie in place of Pete Myers.

As the Bulls most likely get past New York in 5 or 6 then beat the Rockets in six.

What are your thoughts?

100%

Or even another Pippen and he wins

Jordan + Pippen + Grant = Title

Pippen + Pippen + Grant = Title

The 1994 Bulls easily would have been the best team that Jordan played on had he stayed.

As Kukoc came over and they added Kerr and other key pieces etc.

In fact, if you put Jordan or Reggie on that team.

They probably would have won over 65 games with ease.

I mean... yea, but he'd be Reggies sidekick.

Against common playoff opponents in the 90s Reggies productions destroy Pippens.

Know your history dude. Reggie was never a ball hog. If anything he didn't shoot enough.

That's like saying you could replace Steph with Lillard and these Warriors would still win

They'd lose in the 2nd Round because the system would be different

It's dumb to think that you can replace Jordan with Drexler and they defeat the Bad Boy Pistons and 3-peat

Drexler couldn't beat the Bad Boys in 1990 with a much better cast than any Bulls team.. The Blazers' 5th option led them in scoring for the 90' Western Playoffs (Kersey).. Similarly, Miller's Pacers had a better cast than the Bulls but couldn't win anything in the 90's.

The 94' Bulls would've been swept in the 2nd Round without the Kukoc miracle and they were lottery in 95' until MJ returned to restore 3-peat caliber.. They were nowhere near contending, let alone 3-peat goat team

MJ was overkill on the Bulls, not needed. He was like the KD to 2017 Warriors. NOT NEEDED.

Even another Pippen and Bulls win easily

Jordan + Pippen + Grant = Title

Pippen + Pippen + Grant = Title

Bulls didn't need MJ.

I agree with this here.

I think they could run the same system. They'd add another dynamic in that Miller could also run off screens.

It think it's crazy for anyone to say that adding that much talent to a team that was close to begin with, doesn't net a title.

Miller is better than Myers at everything. Maybe Myers is a better hustle guy. But that's it.

No. He could not win a title with Hakeem and Barkley

The Kukoc miracle made people forget that the Bulls were about to get swept and were just a 1st or 2nd Round team in 94' (lottery in 95')

If the Bulls were infact a title team in 94' then they wouldn't be lottery in 95' before MJ returned

Get to finals. Yes. Win title? Over rockets? No.

Prime Barkley was added to a completely stacked, perennial 55-win team and WCF participant (89-92' Suns) - he couldn't win shit with them, but Miller is supposed to lead a 2nd Round choker over the Rockets?

:yaohappy:

And Lebron/Bosh were added to Wade's 48-win team and they became a 58-win goat choking team

Well, they were a fifth seed before MJs return. So they weren't a lottery team. And, they lost Horace Grant.

He wasn't added. The Suns traded for him. They lost Jeff Hornacek and Andrew Lang. 2 of their 5 starters the previous year.

Yeah. In addition, 3ba11 is forgetting that the Bulls blew a fourth quarter lead in Game 1, and were robbed in Game 5 by the officials. They should have won in five games.

1st round loss? No, you're confused. We're saying if Jordan is NOT on the team. No 1-9 skidmarks around here :lol

They were 34-31 before MJ returned, which is a 42-win place and tied for the 8 seed with Atlanta, who they lost tie-breaker to

So they were lottery until MJ returned, and then MJ went 13-4 to get the 5 seed... then a title in his first full season back.

Let's recap - Pippen destroys a 3-peat dynasty to lottery in less than 18 months

He would win the title in 1994 with Pete Myers if the league doesn't conspire against him and call crap like this a "foul":

Or at least he would beat any team that the Bulls previously beat (jordon was 0-6 against Hakeem in the 1st three-peat).

HOF announcer Hubie Brown said it was a clear-cut hack right after it happened on live TV and circled Pippen's hand with the telestrater:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3FbvWSZQkY&t=01m28s

The Pippen foul on Hubert only put the Bulls down 3-2 - they had every chance in Game 7 but Pippen choked again (8-24)..

Pippen choked with the "sit out" game, the dumb foul, and Game 7, plus a bunch of other little chokes (https://i.makeagif.com/media/6-27-2021/_p33FZ.gif) in between (21.7 on 40% overall with woat 4th quarter stats (https://i.makeagif.com/media/11-21-2021/6q8E2n.gif))

If Pippen has woat 4th quarter stats in the 2nd Round, how will he compete with Reggie Miller in the ECF, especially when Miller owns Pippen (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?493657-Reggie-Miller-and-Pippen-faced-the-same-opponent-in-the-playoffs-6-times)?.. It's impossible

How do you know the Bulls stay at that pace? The Hawks were a game behind the Bulls in the loss column by their 65th game. That's one game behind where the Bulls were at the same time. How do you know the Bulls don't get hot without MJ? And how did the Bulls lose the tie breaker to Atlanta? They were 4-1 vs the Hawks in 94-95. Not to mention 34-31 is actually a 43 win pace extrapolated over 82 games. So no, they were never a lottery team.

And as I said the last time you posted this nonsense. Hall of Fame REFEREE DARELL GARRETSON said it was a bad call
