Comparisons like this don't matter much. Blake Griffin was waay better than Dirk Nowitzki in his first two seasons.

Kidd couldn't shoot until about his 8th season. Ball is a taller better player. Perennial all-star

Nah, Lamelo is not even a point guard and has no idea how to run an offense and control the tempo of the game. Jason Kidd was doing that from the rip, his problem was he couldn't shoot a lick. This is a case of the numbers don't tell the full story.
