Oscar was constantly in the top 10 debates for his triple doubles. He won a title with Kareem and a league mvp. Russell Westbrook won a league mvp and averaged a triple double more than Oscar and has more.

Westbrick, for all his achievements in playing 10+ years in the league, still makes "rookie" mistakes

Oscar was a better playoffs performer and more efficient than Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook is such a net-negative choker who destroys everything in his path to such a degree that his entire legacy consists not of building a strong legacy for himself, but of destroying the legacy of another player, namely Oscar Robertson.

Prior to Westbrick's triple-double season/s, this is what Oscar Robertson's legacy consisted of:

80% = being the only player who ever averaged a triple-double over an entire season
15% = that one championship he won while being Kareem's sidekick
5% = This photo:

But now that Westbrick has several triple-double averaging regular seasons, Oscar's greatest career accomplishment is destroyed. All the while Westbrick has become a living joke meme who has reduced the feat of averaging a triple-double of not even being worthy of an all-star selection (see his season with the Wizards). God damn, Oscar must hate Westbrick so much. :oldlol:

Oscar was a better player for his era. Like, you could argue that he was as good or better than Wilt/Russell/West. He had the misfortune of playing on mediocre teams in his prime so he didn't get the accolades. Russ had an MVP season and put up some huge numbers, but no one would even argue him for top 5 for his era.

Big O more efficient, more polished scoring skillset, and the ultimate floor general. WHILE still averaging 27-30 PPG. Hell even a better defender. Gotta keep in mind IT TOOK Magic and MJ to come down the pike to find guards who could ECLIPSE what Oscar peak-prime wise and historically. You don't find many 27-30 PPG who are more pass first-floor general types. And great triple double threats on top or it. Bron and Oscar are the kings of that type of shit!

Oscar played a decade on a terrible team where he was the best player. They guy fought for a .500 record every season and then after 10 years he went to the worst team in the league and took Kareem to a title(who didn't get another title until he got Magic Johnson). Russ on the other hand has failed to win a chip with Durant, Harden, Beal, George, Carmello, Davis, and Lebron. PG's are enhancement players they need scorers but some are able to elevate their teams into contention year after year (Chris Paul, Jason Kidd) without the talent...Russ had the tools he just failed to deliver throughout his career. This is why nobody in the league wants Russ...if their is a baseball analogy Oscar was Mike Trout a great player in a bad situation, Russ was David Justice a player moved from team to team because of salary cap and fit issues.

I'm from Indiana and saw Big O in high school, followed him thru college and the Pros. l always said he was the best non center player I ever saw, at least until Larry Bird came along. John Wooden would agree with me.

Oscar was not Lebrons teammate.

Lebrons all teammates are underrated, because his fans and media always blame them.

Defense? Athletes? Not even close. Plus a higher pace and more possessions. They’re one in the same. Edgy, perpetually irritated stat stuffing, no defense playing losers. And Westbrick’s triple double season(s) are more impressive in this day and age then it is to back then.

The Big O was the best forward of his generation. Is Westbrook the best guard or even best PG of his generation? Not even close. Easy comparison. Oscar >>>. This board has no clue on any player before 1985. Oscar is severely underrated by the kids.

Lebron had a better version of Oscar and couldn't make the playoffs.

First season Oscar leaves Cincy he wins a ring...12-2 in the playoffs not even one close series.

Russ might not be able to get a starting job when his contract runs out.

You don’t have a clue about players in just the past few years but we are taking your word exclusively on what you read?

:oldlol:

I just said the other day people considered him to be a GOAT candidate for a while.

What I’m saying is personally my view on him is the context of how he averaged those numbers and who he went up against? Big deal.
