You will see way more superstars sitting out entire seasons in order to increase their odds of winning the following year, albeit this is happening already.
Because this would be the second straight championship won on mileage-saving after the mileage managed Warriors won the most recent championship.
This cowardly tactic of sacrificing an entire season to double-down on another is helpful in all kinds of ways:

-It rests the bodies of your superstars
-It helps the role players develop their games and become better, especially if they are younger
-It increases the odds of landing a higher pick in the draft

This is why players who sit out entire seasons to rest their bodies should be criticized way more, and why players who are playing every game that they can should be celebrated more than they are.

I hope it doesn't become a trend but with this year and 2020 title will encourage teams to do this kind of shit.

Well we know only playing 50% of the game doesn't even land you a play-in spot

Unless your team has the horses, it's irrelevant.

Sitting out for the sake of sitting out makes no sense. Being another year older is generally not a positive thing.

Honestly, without trolling.... Would Jordan have more likely won over 6 rings or under 6 rings if he hadn't gone on his hiatus?
