They basically just read lines and smile at the camera.
Questions are staged or obvious with canned responses.
Some celebrities have enormous popularity already.

Look at the Afghanistan situation. A rough explanation, but how many people can be responsible for such death in destruction. Almost 20 soldiers that didn't need to be blown up, (and probably over 100 civilians), gifting the Taliban around 85 billion dollars worth of weapons, all because he wanted a 911 photo op, and then look at the camera and pretend to the casual American public that he's simply being criticized for finally having the balls to end the Afghanistan war. And then meet the parents of the soldiers that had to go Afghanistan, to be blown up, and act like nothing is wrong. Not lose one minute of sleep.
How many actors can simply do that, unless it's pretend?

Good points.
I cannot believe Zelensky's experience and qualifications.
The sad thing is that , without corruption, the political leaders' incentives are worse than Hollywood or some professional sports.

Trump (and Arnold) opened the door for more of this to happen and I don't doubt that we will see a shift in fewer politicians being elected and more actors/celebs being elected.

Just seems likely with social media popularity and crossovers already.
E.g musk cameos on TV went as normal. He might cameo in the white house. Or similar?

Conservatives b!tch that celebrities have no right to political opinions then they elect a B actor (Reagan) and a game show host (Trump) to be prez.

Because very few people wants to be president. You ask Tom hanks or Brad Pitt if they'd like to be president. Most likely the answer is no. It's a miserable job if you're a normal person.

So dont "ask" them.... just drag the actor you want into a dark room full of billionaires smoking cigars, and tell them that they can either accept the great acting role of their life, or they can go home and watch as their name/career is destroyed by fake scandals and their wealth is stolen by BS lawsuits.
Anyway I dont think it would be very hard to find an actor who desperately wants to be president. Theres nothing actors love more than attention, and nobody receives more attention than the US president.

It doesn't work that way. I think you've been watching too many movies.

maybe it doesnt... but the stupid actors probably all think it works that way since they are the ones in those movies, so I think it would still be an effective strategy

But out of all famous people, Ye (you-know-who) ran for potus in the most recent elections almost two years ago. It was quite funny to say the least.
