Stern always said the feasibility of travel was the limiting factor, but that may be changing.

I think this would be tremendous for the growth of the game.

Europe collectively has a population and economy larger than the US.

I like the idea of European teams...especially if it means bringing relegation to the US.

Relegation will never happen..every owner would be against it.

It makes it more feasible but still a lot of issues. Elite players in other countries may dream of playing in America but elite American talents could rebel against the idea of going to another country. And the NBA would have to be careful about picking countries to put teams in. We have good relationships with these countries now but it wasn't too long ago that we were fine with Russia and now the state department can't get Brittney Griner out of there. Imagine if we had a whole franchise in Moscow? There are still some major problems. Lesser issues that wiuld actually be major like income tax. Some of these countries have tax rates on the wealthy that would guarantee no free agent with an option signs or stays without some kind of allowance being made.
