Final season a player option for 60 million.
I don’t know who is up next but it won’t be biggest ever for long.

There should honestly be some league wide stipulation that 1% of every deal be paid to LeAmbassador as tribute for the popularity he’s generated for the game.

Well, 2x MVP... this is deserveing of the supermax. He's one of less than 10 players that probably are.

might not even be a league without Bird/Magic and later MJ. What is their cut?

Lebron and KD never got Supermax did they?
You have to stay in one place too long I believe and you can’t sign what we consider Supermax with a new team. Or maybe you’d have to sign and trade?

I don't think LeBron ever wanted it. When's the last time he took a flat out max money max year contract? He has clearly wanted to keep his options open from the moment he left Cleveland the first time after getting fisted by them for so long.
Hell, looking it up, it doesn't look like he's EVER taken a maximum year deal including the first Cleveland extension in 2006.
I guess he took a max YEAR deal on less $$ with Miami but we know how that worked out... he opted out.
