This. He was a fan favorite for sure. His pops was a Bay Area legend, he went through a long winding road to get here, was able to make a huge impact on the team and was always charismatic and entertaining. When he checked into the game he brought on a different type of energy. All that being said even though he will be missed I’m glad for him, I didn’t realize for along time he’s almost 30 years old. This is his one chance at a big contract. Hope it all works out for him. He’s a real one.

He absolutely needs to sign for as much as he can get right now given his previous status prior to this past season and given his age.

Good for him.

GSW was the best team in the league last year and I thought that prior to the playoffs, but... were they so clearly the best team in the league that they can lose a piece like this for nothing and still have a deep playoff run? We'll see. With the injuries they had last year returning back to the lineup, maybe this doesn't matter... but his impact went beyond numbers, clearly.

I'm more than happy with #4, winning isn't easy. I'm content if they don't win again for 10 years, but it obviously sucks to lose a major player. The guy was playing better than Draymond and Klay this post season when he was on the court, which shows 1. how important he was, 2. how far off a cliff they've fallen, especially Klay (understandable considering what happened to him). I can't blame GPII though. He was offered around 6.5m, and Blazers which nobody knows what the **** that shitty treadmill team is doing offered him 29m for 3 years. GPII has made roughly 4 million as a 29 year old, can't hate on him going to get his bag.

Hopefully Looney, Otto come back and Bob can find someone else noone did. And of course there are four young players that hopefully elevate their game this season. :pimp:

It was inevitable that GS would lose guys. Contrats to GP2 he definitely earned his payday.

Tough loss for the Dubs. Dude was crucial in the last couple games of the Finals. Curious what they do to replace a guy like him.

I'd expect Kuminga and Moody both to develop and take some of the Porter/GPII minutes, GS will probably pick up someone in FA as well.

They have some young guys who want more minutes.

They are also good at finding decent players on the cheap and will probably do it again.

GP2 is the biggest loss for the Warriors in this FA, but DiVincenzo is actually a solid defender as well

Yeah, and Wiseman needs to become part of the rotation too.

G: Steph Curry
G: Klay Thompson
F: Andrew Wiggins
F: Draymond Green
C: Kevon Looney

G: Jordan Poole
G: Donte DiVincenzo
G/F: Moses Moody
F: Jonathan Kuminga
C: James Wiseman

If they can stay healthy, they'll be a top 3 seed again

Big question is going to be what development the team gets out of Moody, Kuminga, Wiseman. My guess is that Jordan becomes the second best player on the team by the end of the regular season and forces his way into the starting lineup regardless of what Kerr/Klay want. I fully expect him to improve. The other 3 young guys is another story. Just one of them having a breakout season could potentially make the difference in the Warriors winning or losing a title though. I'd still like the Warriors to acquire one more guy that has experience as a FA (wing), and the team should be ready for next season.

Belly, Lee, Otto and Gary all gone. Great guys and two exceptionally important ones also. I'm sad GP left but happy for the dude that got his bag. He made 4 million in total by the age of 29, and he's going to make 29 million in 3 years now. Can't blame him for going after the money.

Maybe they can get a couple of ring-chasing veterans (like Blake or Aldridge) for veteran's minimum to round out the roster along with their 2 rookies.

They signed Di vincenzo who is a superior player IMO.

And no more Iggy please. Hire him as an assistant coach if you want him around - don't waste a roster space.

Pattern of how if you’re a flawed guy like Bazemore or Oubre, you can suck all kinds of ass on GS and GP2 is literally a rare talent to begin with?

How Donte doesn’t have even half of GP2’s athleticism or rim finishing?

It's the 15th man, who cares. Iggy is even more important next season considering the owner is pushing his hand by having 1/2 the roster be kids. Dude wants a ****ing nursery out there competing for a championship when experience is key. :facepalm

Bazemore was ok with the Warriors, which is better than he was with the Lakers where they never played him again after 2 months. He started for the Warriors and contributed 2 seasons ago and the Warriors had a better record than a Lakers team that didn't use him at all because they thought he was useless. The only bad product is Oubre, and that's because he's the dumbest player the Warriors have had in the Curry era. Like Lebron needs 3 point snipers, you can't have dumb players playing with Steph. And Donte is going to be used differently than GPII, his focus will be more at the 3 point line than scoring near the rim. He's pretty bad there.

How so? This is a dumb take. Warriors did not buy their team with the expectations to win. This team's core was built organically and tbh the window is coming to an end, so yeah losing good role players obviously suck right now. Yankees fans, FOH
