I agree. That New York Yankees team was stacked, and loaded with talents.. Glad the Arizona Diamondbacks humbled them in the 2001 MLB Finals.

Yes.

But underrated by some who think he’s just above average.

Would not be in the HOF if he played in Kansas City.

He had 3000 hits. Almost 2000 runs score. Over 1000 RBI. The only thing that's going to keep a player with those #'s out of the HOF is character, not where they played their career.

Jeter never won an MVP award.

Jeter never won an MVP award.

Neither did Big Papi, Manny Ramirez, Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs, Ozzie Smith, Al Kaline, Eddie Matthews, and Mike Piazza. To name a few

I don't know much about baseball so I won't comment, but I do remember hearing "Jeter overrated" by many fans while he was playing.

I always considered him a very solid player who was a fan favorite in New York. He was always rated pretty appropriately I feel like.

I used to have this belief. Always did think he was overrated but he came up big whenever they needed him to. He made the clutch plays that arod and nomar were immune to.

You live in the Bay area yeah? That's not surprising at all Oakland fans would call him overrated :lol

Shawk nailed it a few posts up. He's both overrated and underrated dependent on who you are talking to.
