This may sound like a hot take, etc but I think.......
KD, at present day, is overrated.
Not overrated in the sense that he isn't an all time great. However, overrated in the sense that he isn't this unstoppable force, that can lead a team to the promise land.
He couldn't win it all with Harden and Westbrook in OKC.
He had to team up with a 73 win Warriors team that had already won a championship without him, in order to win his first ring.
The Celtics just swept him.....
Was his team THAT bad that he couldn't at least win one game or make the series somewhat close? If he is this unstoppable force, I think he should have.
Either way, KD is still a great player and will go down as an all time great. BUT... I just think the Nets are asking for way too much considering he is older and he did just get swept.
I think that's why a deal hasn't been done yet. I think some GMs are thinking the same thing I am. Is KD really worth a kings ransom.
