View Full Version : Lebron isn't blamed for losing except 2011 - it took historic choke to get blamed

Every other loss (16 in 20 years) was blamed on not having enough help.

But when Jordan lost, everyone said that he didn't elevate teammates like Bird and Magic.. No one gave a shit whether his cast was viable.

So Jordan was required to elevate teammates, while Lebron is only required to have enough help - this entails amassing enough talent to be the preseason favorite from 2011-2016 (no teammate elevation necessary).

Since Lebron doesn't have to elevate teammates, he isn't blamed for not fitting with Westbrook, which is the root cause of the Lakers historic underachevement in 2022 (preseason favorite misses play-in).. He also isn't blamed for his high-turnover frontcourt ball-dominance, which can marginalize teammates and brand of ball for lower team ceilings/Finals records.

OP you blame Lebron enough for the rest of the world combined. You probably have issues with how Lebron ties his shoes.

Lebron must've stole one of your ex-girlfriends because I don't know how to rationalize your insane grudge against him.

The man has a point - if Lebron is high IQ he should be able to organize his team offense in a way that maximizes not only himself but the others around him.

Well yes because Lebron

2006 - Won Rd 1 went to 7 games against Detroit
2007 - Made the finals
2008 - WOn Rd 1 went to 7 games against the Celtics (champs)
2009 - Made the conf. Finals
2010 - Won Rd 1 went to 6 games against the Celtics
2011 - Made the finals
2012 - Won a Title
2013 - Won a Title
2014 - Made the finals
2015 - Made the finals went 6 games against the Warriors
2016 - Won a Title
2017 - Made the finals
2018 - Made the finals
2019 - missed the playoffs
2020 - Won a Title
2021 - Went 6 games against the Western Confer champ Suns
2022 - missed the playoffs

Jordan
1985 - lost in the first round to Milwaulkee
1986 - swept in the first round
1987 - swept in the first round
1988 - won in the first round beaten in 5 in the second round
1989 - Made the conference finals
1990 - Made the conference finals
1991 - won a title
1992 - won a title
1993 - won a title
1994 - DNP (team still made the playoffs)
1995 - lost in the second round
1996 - won a title
1997 - won a title
1998 - won a title
2002 - missed the playoffs
2003 - missed the playoffs

Lebron has 11 post season runs...Jordan had 8. "blaming" conference and championship finalists for anything is pathetic but Jordan only won with 1 team in 1 8 year period of time (a generation).

Well yes because Lebron

2008 2nd Round

Lebron..... 26 on 35% (7 games)

^^^ the loss was clearly Lebron's fault

2010 2nd Round

Lebron..... 21 on 34% (last 3 games)

^^^ the loss was clearly Lebron's fault

2011 Finals

Lebron..... 18 on 47%

^^^ the loss was clearly Lebron's fault

^^^ Jordan has nothing like this - he never had a bad series

And Lebron's frontcourt ball-dominance (weak brand of ball) lost a bunch as the favorite or even odds - 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014...

Or with super-teams - 2011, 2014...

Or to 1-star opponents - 2009, 2011...

Or with 1 or 2 seeds (good teams) - 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2017...

Or with the preseason favorite - 2011, 2014, 2021, 2022

Lebron has 11 post season runs...Jordan had 8.

8 in 15 years > 11 in 20

"blaming" conference and championship finalists for anything is pathetic but Jordan only won with 1 team in 1 8 year period of time (a generation).

Lebron entered the league with the East all-star center on his team but missed the playoffs - the all-star duo of Lebron/Zydrunas added a 22/5/5 all-defender and the future COY to make the 06' Playoffs..

So Lebron needed 3 years to develop his team into a veteran high seed before entering the 06' Playoffs (favorite), which contrasts with rookie Jordan being thrown into the playoffs as the 8 seed..

Low seeds simply lose and Lebron lost with the first low seed of his career in 2021 - he otherwise had high seeds for his entire career because he entered the playoffs as a high seed in 06'.. Jordan had a few low seeds early on because he entered the playoffs as a low seed and had injury years... But when he had 3 healthy years to develop his team (88'), he made the 2nd Round just like 06' Lebron.. Then he carried a low seed to the ECF in 89' before closing in on the title thereafter..

You regularly blame Luka despite beating the #1 seeded favorite this year and making the WCF at age 23.

Yes this is impressive - I expected the Suns to beat him just like the #1 SRS Cavs were supposed to beat Jordan's low seed in 89'

Unfortunately, Luka has already reached his brand of ball's ceiling just like 07' Lebron - this is the best his teams will be without a better, high team assist brand of ball, or super-team formation (talent-based winning like Lebron)

Bronie's 2011 choke was probably the most epic choke of all time from a supposed "great."

That alone knocked him out of GOAT contention. Since then, many other things did too.
