As far as I know, this is the highest recorded running vertical jump measurement on video. I believe there are some other guys around 50" online too. When you see this and that guy who can touch the backboard, Wilt and MJ's tall tales seem more believable.

It's pretty crazy how you can't tell who is an elite jumper by looking at them. This guy could just as well be Austin Rivers.
Incredible that just a small amount of calf and thigh fast twitch muscle can generate that much explosiveness.

Think you need to watch the video. He isn't close to "dad bod".
Clearly a dude that works out on the visual side alone. Think it looks funny from the video still just because he is light skinned and its harder to see definition, along with his settings/white balance.

Yeah, I LOL'd at that. This guy has been training specifically for the vertical jump for a long time. He has been doing squats, deadlifts, power cleans, and plyometrics for years. It's not as if he just naturally jumps that high at all.

No offence but has he been training or is that natural jumping

Can't really tell with the shorts he's wearing, but I guess people get confused by doped sprinters as to what explosiveness looks like.
