There's no excuse except that Lebron is overrated - that's the only legit excuse.

The #2 all-time player cannot underacheive the expectation as many times as Lebron or as severely as Lebron.. So he isn't #2 (overrated)

I anticipated Curry's goatness, so I made Curry top 5 in November of 2021:

This was right before his best season ever (FMVP and Jordan-level clutch, aka defeating maximum defensive attention, aka carrying scoring load in Finals)

Part of the reason that I revere Curry is because he proved me wrong.. Jordan did the same.. Otoh, LeFraud never did

Heck, Curry just won with Wiggins!!!.. Lebron could never do that.. Lebron needs all-time scorers and elite 1st options to play sidekick and nearly match his Finals scoring - he can't win with secondary producers at sidekick that average far less in the Finals

So it isn't impressive to beat a 1-man team with a super-team.

Curry's ability to have a 70-win team despite being the only go-to player is Jordan-like and that's why he's top 5 over Magic/Shaq/Lebron.... Unlike Lebron, guys like Jordan/Curry possess the brand of ball and elite jumpshooting skill needed to defeat maximum defensive attention (carry scoring load), so they can win as the only go-to player
