I get what Ray was saying IN TERMS of who is the more skilled player between the two. BUT in a GOAT ARGUMENT, actual skill level OBTAINING results IS JUST one of many factors. On the GOAT charts (which is totally different), only center I would take over Russ is Kareem. But GOAT factors team accolades, solo accolades, peak-prime value, longevity being great, numbers, and impact on the league (rules change because of you, redefining a position, being a face of the league, etc.)

If I was Ray, my reasons for MJ BEING THE GOAT would have been 6 rings with no loses in the Finals. 5 MVPS and 6 Finals MVPs. 10 scoring titles. Defensive player of the year. The all time leading scorer (career average wise) of all time. After all that, THEN I would break down the differences in their game. Peak-prime wise, the case is shut for me.
