And still go 1-9?
To me.... thats simply inexcusable.
And Im sorry, but that isn't, and will never be my GOAT.

Gervin didn't play on the 85' team and played exactly 1 minute in the 86' Playoffs (retired immediately after)
And Woolridge wasn't a top 3 player at his position in the conference (all-star) like Zydrunas in 2005.. Nor was he a 1st team defender like Larry Hughes
So Lebron had a 2-time all-star center and a 22/5/5 all-defender to make the 06' Playoffs, while playing in a conference that 1-star teams were winning.. Otoh, Jordan had a completely undecorated cast in a conference that required a super-team to win it
But most importantly, no one cares what happens in the first few years of a player's career because most players like Curry, Lebron, Giannis and Durant miss the playoffs

Gervin was about to retire and Jordan did elevate Woolridge to career highs - Bird said that Jordan has Woolridge playing amazing and he would be an all-star for many years to come... But Bird didn't know about that circus that Woolridge was involved in (travelling cocaine circus)

So while 22 year old Lebron was elevating his team to a Finals by demolishing conference heavyweight Detroit with 25 consecutive points to end the game, 22 year old MJ was elevating an all-star like Woolridge to being 1-9, and causing Gervin to quit the game entirely?

Stats at 22-23 years old against championship team and #1 defense
Lebron vs 07' Spurs..... 22 on 36%
Lebron vs 08' Celts...... 26 on 35%
Jordan vs 86' Celts...... 44 on 50%
Lebron was horrible against Finals comp in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011.. So he doesn't compare to a lot of guys, let alone Jordan - he's the 2nd most overrated player ever behind Pippen

Lebron faced the leagues best team in the Finals becuase he elevated his franchise to a quality seed.
MJ faced the best team in the first round because he stifled his teammates’ ability to blossom.

In his first 3 years, MJ led his team further than Lebron (top 8 seed, aka playoffs)
So you're wrong
By their third healthy season (88' and 06'), both guys made 2nd Round..
In their 5th healthy season (89' vs 08'), Jordan had a contender while Lebron had a bummy 45-win 8 seed

Sorry pal, we’re not comparing an 18 year old Lebron to a 21 year old MJ.
Lets keep it consistent.
Lebron was always better and more successful at the same ages until Michael landed a top 25 all time player in Pippen.

how are you 36 with no employment OP?
Jordan/Kobe/Curry are the gas on the grass. Lebron is the match

Lebron got 3 years to develop his team into a veteran high seed before entering the 06' Playoffs
So that isn't comparable to Jordan
The all-star duo of Lebron/Zydrunas added a 22/5/5 all-defender and the future COY to make the 06' Playoffs.. Those Cavs teams had better team defense and more scoring options than the 1st three-peat Bulls.. Jordan would've easily won with those teams, while Lebron was a loser that needed to form super-teams

18-24 year Lebron wet the bed against good comp and MJ didn't - see previous post that lists Lebron's many bed-wetting
Lebron was a massive loser until the "decision" and never learned how to win (organic.. chemistry)

.
* 22-year Lebron averaged 22 on 35% against the Spurs, so he's nowhere near Jordan
* 23-year Lebron averaged 26 on 35% against the 08' Celtics, so he's nowhere near Jordan
* 25-year Lebron averaged 21 on 34% for the last 3 games of the 10' ECSF to lose a 2-1 lead as the favorite
* 26-year Lebron had the goat choke in the 11' Finals
So Lebron is nowhere near Jordan.. Even with all the team-hopping he's STILL FAR AWAY... :oldlol:

Woolridge on coke, Gervin over the hill. Oakley a young guy. They sure won a lot before MJ and when MJ broke his foot :facepalm

One of the best rookies ever led one of the worst teams in the league to 11 more wins and a playoff berth. How did he fail to uplift? :lol

By all accounts Jordan was a disrespectful jackwagon and Gervin elected to retire than play with the diva. Did the same thing with Bill Cartwright and Robert Parish. It took Krause years to find guys that could play with Jordan because of his behavior and Jordan was successful because stars couldn't just go wherever they wanted every three seasons.
