They don’t want to show the true goats and how today’s game is a sham.

NBA needs to artificially hype their boy LeBronze any way possible.

Dumb. I remember over a decade ago it was the NFL that used to remove all of its classic games on YouTube while the NBA didn't really care. Shame they are doing this. Now the NFL has tons of full classic games uploaded by the NFL themselves.

Nice that you think Curry’s titles are a sham

Unless the plan is to put the games on ESPN+ or another Streaming service this seems like a bad idea.

NBA probably doing what the NFL is doing on owning their own content and full games will be played exclusively on their own channel and they will profit from it. I have no issues with that. The quality will be great and it will probably free.

Now if they charge some type of fee to watch these games, that's stupid. But I highly doubt it.

Which is good. The video quality is top notch and free. Why is that a problem? It benefits everyone.

This really is a shame. YouTube was an excellent video library for people who wanted to watch and learn about the classic NBA.

I have similar thoughts as some of you, which is to wonder whether the NBA is setting the stage to unveil their own classic game access, whether through a devoted subscription service (NBA+) or through their own YouTube channel.

Anything short of providing us access to everything users were uploading themselves would be a huge bummer. The NBA, of course, has the right to do whatever they please with their property; I just wish they would have seen the value in providing people access to their games. I could see the NBA YouTube channel uploading one full game every now and again, which would put hundreds, if not thousands, of games out of reach for years that were otherwise available to watch just a couple weeks ago.

I always thought they had a good thing going when they'd allow users to upload their games, then swoop in and monetize the content so the NBA could profit.

They didn’t care back in the day. It was the nfl that got my original YouTube channel banned not the nba.

MLB was flagging a lot of stuff that had highlights and game footage quite awhile back. People made fun of them considering they are already having problems attracting new fans and then they make sure to scrub all the most exciting plays off social media. Great game plan :lol

This makes me sad. My grandma has dementia but she was a huge Laker Fan and one of the things she enjoys most is watching the Lakers playoff runs on YT between 2000-2002.
