NYTimes.com: "Britain made meteorological history on Tuesday when temperatures in some places topped 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit) for the first time ever recorded in the United Kingdom, as a second straight day of record-setting heat gripped parts of Europe. Fires raged in France, Spain and even areas of London, as the hot, dry conditions strained emergency services and brought misery to areas unaccustomed to such sweltering summers. By evening in Britain, however, thunderstorms were beginning to offer a respite, and milder temperatures were forecast for Wednesday."

Saw a vid about this in the morning. Couldn't help but laugh at the residents freaking out at the 100 degree weather, that is a normal summer day here in Cali.

It hits 100 maybe two or three times a year in the east bay, lol.

Maybe in Oakland & Berkeley, but go towards Walnut Creek & Concord and you see bunch of summer days reaching 100. Your boy Steph had a house in Walnut Creek, you should know this.

104 is the hottest day in UK history? And somehow this heat was enough to make London spontaneously combust? :oldlol:
Last year Portland had 3 straight days of 115+ and yet there were no fires... and unlike London we have homeless people running propane cookstoves in tents on every street corner.

Global warming/climate change coming to bear. These types of extreme weather events will only continue to increase in severity, duration, and prevalence throughout the world for the rest of our lives and for generations to come. It's too late to stop significant effects, even if all carbon emissions instantly stopped ( impossible). Overall hot weather, melting ice caps, and rising oceans will continue for many decades to come, if not longer.
All the world can do is try to take steps to mitigate the absolute worst effects, but I'm not optimistic about even that. Greed and apathy will probably eventually be humanity's ultimate undoing, in one way or another.

You have never lived in LA have you? Los Angeles more commonly refers to the sprawling metro area than the city itself. There are plenty of places that regularly hit triple digits here.

Yup.
He presumably interpreted 'normal' to mean the literal average. Which obviously it is not. But in the Valley especially, 100 degree days in summer certainly dont have anyone doing double-takes.

That's fine and all but it's not normal for the UK at all.

Look you worthless anti-science chuds, if you people dont start eating fake meat and driving electric cars right now, we're going to see more heatwaves like the 1911 New England heatwave that killed an estimated ~2000 americans (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1911_Eastern_North_America_heat_wave) and set many record high temps that stand to this day (like Bostons all time record of 104), or the 1896 eastern heatwave that killed an estimated 1,500 americans (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1896_Eastern_North_America_heat_wave).

Lies and money matters more than life. Christians are being misled in the worst way. They overshot the mark and gave up on scientific observation.
